Post Reunion Info from Cali!!

I get digital cable (a provider with more channels) and therefor we get a special tv guide.....anyway it had an interview with Nancy McKeon and she said that she loved doing the Facts of Life but it is over now and she wants closure....therefor something will happen to her, but she didn't say what.... now its time to get scared, she very likely will die in the reunion, but at this point she is not even making a cameo.

Blair: Doing what?
Jo: Singing it like Julie Andrews.

Nancy has done many other things since FOL and has had a wonderful career-which is more than can be said for any of the other former FOL stars.I don't think a reunion is a good idea anyway.

First, it's true Ms. McKeon has had a very creditable career.
But, the other girls are very happy with what they've done; Lisa has a family with three kids and homeschools them and has written a book, and others are on the way, Kim graduated college and has done many shows and now owns a production company and is a teacher, Mindy also graduated college and was a talk show host on a radio show for years and she recently has been doing cartoon and other voices.

Second, why is reunion a bad idea?

This is bad news How old is this article?

We haven't seen 'The Division' yet but imo FOL is the best work Nancy McKeon has done to date.

Actually Kim Fields is the only FOL alum to have successfully starred in another sitcom since both of Nancy's failed.

Maybe they should reconsider the reunion if they are considering killing off Jo. I still would watch without Nancy so maybe instead they could write Jo as being out of town and just concentrate on the other girls and Mrs. Garrett. I don't know how entertaining Blair would be without Jo, however, since the series finale ep that just featured Blair kinda sucked.

Michele, I agree with that last point you made. The season finale did suck, and Blair wasn't too entertaining by herself, although she did defend herself rather well. Of course she had lived with Jo for eight years so she learned
Anyway, Lisa is a great actress IMO, but even good acting can't save a character when it isn't written well. Blair and Jo made each other stronger, so I don't know how it will be without Jo, and same with Tootie and Natalie, it will be weird without Kim. Maybe they should rethink this whole reunion thing, or do like Cheers did during their 200th episode show...

One last thought on this reunion stuff and I won't post about it again.

If Nancy McKeon wants closure maybe she should do the Reunion Movie. The cr@ppy series ending episode was unfair to all FOL fans. A well written reunion movie could provide closure for everybody.

Usually these 'reunion' shows are not very well done but some pretty big stars including Mary Tyler Moore(my favorite actress of all time) were willing to go back to their old roles for a reunion type show so why can't Nancy??

I completely agree with the idea of maybe rethinking the reunion and doing something like Cheers did instead. The last episode of FOL was anything but a good ending for the series, and a reunion movie would be great-if all the characters were there though. If Nancy and Kim are most likely not gonna be in the movie, then there shouldn't be one IMO. Sure, we will still have Mrs. G, Blair, and Nat so far, it won't be the same if Jo isn't there for Blair or if Tootie isn't there for Nat.

Just a little FYI -- I take pride in the fact that I suggested the reunion idea similar to Cheers (under subject "Reunion Option..."). Just wanted to show how cool a 25 year old can still be.

PS -- Where is Mindy Cohn now. She's awesome, and I'd really like to write her.

I think the reunion movie could be the final episode we never had, but only if Nancy and Kim show up, if in the end they decide for definate that they are not doing the movie, I think we should just forget about it, you cant have a reunion if you are missing two principle characters!!

------------------
Stanley Roper: I'm sorry Jack

Jack Tripper: Oh, thats ok, what did you do?

Roper: Me? Nothing, I just thought I saw something that wasnt normal, because it was normal, but, now I can see it aint normal, so, everything's back to normal again.

Jack: oh, well, I'm glad for you.

That just sux eggs! I cant believe Nancy would let them kill off her character just like that. Im not watching it if they do. Its gonna be so sad watching FOL reruns if Jo does get put to death in the "reunion" movie
