If you could remake a film, any film- what film would you remake, and who would you cast in it? Also- are there any major scenes or anything like that you'd change (ie- Remaking Willy Wonka, and taking out the songs that weren't in the book)?
I'd remake the Wizard of Oz probably, because I think there's a big audience for it today, and a rerelease just wouldn't cut it. So far all I can think of for casting are : Paul Dooley as The Cowardly Lion, and the guy playing Chris on Keenan and Kel as the scarecrow (I once thought he was closely related to the original actor- Ray Bolger). if you don't know who either of them are, if you saw a pic of them, or in Chris persons case an audio sample, you might agree. Dorothy- would have to be a unknown, because you wouldn't want to screw it up with casting a 'phase- gone in two months' kinda actor, or a big name actor or someone like Hilary Duff just cos she's one of the few big name teen female actors. Besides- Judy Garland was practically unknown then too. I'd also like to get all those other Wizard of Oz books (many of us may have seen the other oz tales- Lion of Oz) and make them into films. |

a new superman movie would be cool, but it would prolly end up sucking like most remakes of good movies.
though the remake of Night of the Living Dead was good... |

Master of my domain. But I will tell you this: I am going over to (Gestures to the nudist) her apartment, and I'm tellin' her to put those shades down! KRAMER: Woah, woah, woah. What-what did you just say? JERRY: I can't take it anymore! She's driving me crazy! I can't sleep, I can't leave the house, and I' here, I'm climbin' the walls. Meanwhile, I'm dating a virgin, I'm in this contest - something's gotta give! |
