On Nick at Nite they skip episodes for every one of their shows, is the reason for this because they have aired the show too much? Like Cheers airs three times a night (the third one is a repeat), but they have the tendancy to skip episodes is this because they've aired too many?
How does it work in Nick at Nite's case?

All networks are only allowed to air an episode a certain amount of times per contract or per year. That is why some episodes are skipped and aired the next time around. That is why it's really best to tape a show when it first premieres, usually all the episodes air in order without a skip.
