"It's all quiet here at City Hall Park in New York, New York. We're getting ready for a race of a life time. Now the traffic is expected to be quite busy at the time of the start of the race. No matter what status the driver's cars are in or the condition the drivers are in, they must stop at each checkpoint. They will not be allowed to go any further until they check in at that checkpoint.
(No matter if your milage would take you past the checkpoint, your milage stops at the checkpoint until the next round - your extra points would be lost)

And welcome to the 2Trivia4Me CrossCountryRace! It's sponsored by Milwaukee's own Leopard Lodge and Hammer Hank's Wrecking Yard. As you all know - this race course is not blocked off, so you will be having to deal with regular traffic delays. Getting though New York's traffic will take patience. There is one small change to the rules that everyone needs to know about. The only rule in the race is that you can not tamper with anyone else's car. To ensure that doesn't happen, we will need to have an official ride in the cars with the drivers. You can pick from the many volunteering officials. If you don't pick one before the start of the race, you will have a volunteer official assigned to your car. If you want a different official - one that has not been chosen, we can have them meet you at the next checkpoint."

"What do you think your chances are?" Joanie: "I think we have a great car and Shelle is really cool. I think we've got a great chance." "Thank you very much Joanie. And let's move over here to speak with Richard Cunningham. Richard, how do you see yourself placing in this race?" Richie: "Are you kidding? Huh-huh-huh. We've got this thing won already. Why wait until the sun comes up, let's get this show on the road." "You've had a chance to talk with your driver..." Richie: "Oh yeah. MsConanOBrien is up for this challenge. She's got a great sense of humor - which you need on these cross country trips - ya know. But yeah, we are going to burn rubber from the start. You ever hear of Grease Lightening?" Ralph, are you guys up for this challenge?" Ralph: "Child's play, Mr. Announcerman, child's play. YoliUSA and I are gonna burn rubber. You'll be able to smell it for hours." "Well, I think I'm smelling it now." Ralph: "Oh, that must be my lucky rubber nose. I'm taking it incase YoliUSA gets tired and could use a laugh. " "I see, and why are you holding that large inflatable donut?" Ralph: "2,800 miles. I need all the cushion I can get." "I see, so you're going to 'Sit On It'." Ralph chuckled and pointed to him: "That's right mister." "And there you have it from the volunteer officials that have been chosen this far.
