Default I really hate commercial rap

Commercial rap, what you hear on the radio, is straight garbage... Its so friggin' horrible... All people rap about is money, cars, bitches, and hoes...

The worst thing about this though, is that it makes everyone else think that REAL HIP HOP is pure garbage, and not a form of music...

NEW FLASH: HIP HOP/RAP IN FACT IS A FORM OF ART, EXPRESSION, AND MUSIC... DONT BE FOOLED BY YOUR RADIO AND TELEVISION

You got to admit, though, it really blows Tender Chunks.

I'm getting a little more into hip-hop, thanks to Bubbleluvgirl. But it gets so bogus when people think they're "keepin' it real" wid da bitchez N' hoz N' drugs and all that.
What happened to real expression?? And speaking of commercial MTV-ized rap, you ever cringe when you hear it ON a commercial for beer or fast food or whatever??

Somebody hit it on the head about that Ashanti video. It made me nuts the second time I heard it and saw the video. Now I mute the sound and just watch the video [I'm a guy-what do you expect]. What's really funny is white, middle class kids latching onto hip/hop and trying [real hard] to act street or saying that the music 'speaks to them'. Dopes!!1

Brandon, you're the perfect example. I know for a fact that you're white AND middle class. Any African-American doesn't sit around and actually TYPE the way they speak into a computer. Your trying to take an entire culture that doesn't have anything to do with you and make it part of your life. And don't take what I typed personally. It's just one morons [me] opinion.

There are some artists who do hip hop or R&B that don't talk about sex 24/7 like Mos Def and Black Eyed Pea's.
