Default So, I'm sitting here...

Yeah, so, I'm sitting here, and all of a sudden I want to write a book. I mean, like a Stephen King-sized NOVEL. Out of nowhere I want to write one. I have no plot, no characters, no setting, no storyline... but I'm gonna write a book. Or a screenplay. Whaddya think?

Did you ever have an urge to just do something like this out of nowhere?

I have urges like that, but not about writing books. I have urges go buy pens (for my pen fetish) or rearrange my room, or make a website. i never carry through w/ the website things.

Me two!

I tried that once. At the time I was in 5th grade, the Donkey Kong Country series were very popular, so I brought a notebook and wrote a really good story (from a 5th grader's point of view anyway ) based on the DKC series for the Super Nintendo. I lost the notebook and haven't seen it since.

Sad Me too!

I kinda hate that urge sometimes- cos when I plan to write the book, I know at the start how I want it to end, so then in the middle of writing when I lose the urge to write, I put it away for a while, then start writing again- then i feel like I HAVE to finish the story, so the writing isn't good cos I'm trynna bluff my way thru it all. I'm a bit better with screenplays, and can easily write a tv show ep real quickly. Did you start writing?

No, I still have nothing along the line of a plot or characters or whatnot. I went to work for almost all day today so I had no time to think about it, really. I still really wanna write one, though.

I wanna do something in the fantasy genre, like along the lines of HP... but all I can think about is HP when I think of what I want it to be about.

I do that too. I gave in to that urge twice, then I lost the addresses and now I can't find my sites.

I used to get urges to just sit down and write books. It hasn't happened in awhile but when it does I can sit in front of my computer for hours. Not that I don't do that anyway!

Me too! I write frequently...I start a story but I end up not finishing it because before I get the chance I get writers block... ugh!

Anyway yes I do get sudden urges like that...but by the time I start doing it I decide I don't want to do it anymore.
