Default My suggestions & suggestion sked

I decided to make suggestions on this thread since it concerns TV Land's fall schedule.

Anyways, my suggestions are:
1) First and foremost, renew the rights to Mary Tyler Moore ASAP. If the rights of the show are acquired before September, then continue to air it. I would suggest air in prime-time and in the morning.
2) Move I Love Lucy back to the 9:00pm slot.
3) Move The Andy Griffith Show from (7:30 and/or 10) to the morning timeslots
4) Give TV Land's newest show, Mister Ed, a morning timeslot (overnight or daytime, whichever one), Twice As Nice Hour timeslots, and of course, a primetime slot.
5) Limit Gunsmoke to one airing a day.
6) Air Bonanza right before or after Gunsmoke to re-create the "TV Land Goes West" Block.
7) Air Dennis the Menace on a daily basis and limit Leave It To Beaver to one airing a day.
8) Take off the air Barney Miller and The Bob Newhart Show to allow those shows to "rest" for awhile.

Suggestion Schedule For TV Land Fall:
6:00 AM "Fantasy Island"
7:00 AM "Gilligan's Island"
7:30 AM "The Brady Bunch"
8:00 AM "The Andy Griffith Show"
8:30 AM "Leave It To Beaver"
9:00 AM "Dennis the Menace"
9:30 AM "I Love Lucy" (repeat of yesterday's 9p)
10:00 AM "Bewitched" (repeat of yesterday's 9:30p)
10:30 AM "The Dick Van Dyke Show" (repeat of yesterday's 11:30p)
11:00 AM "Mary Tyler Moore" (repeat of yesterday's 11p)
11:30 AM "Get Smart"
12:00 PM "MacGyver"
1:00 PM "Gunsmoke"
2:00 PM "Bonanza" (repeat of yesterday's 3a)
3:00 PM "I Dream Of Jeannie"
3:30 PM "I Dream Of Jeannie"
4:00 PM "Bewitched" (Color seasons)
4:30 PM "Bewitched" (Color seasons)
5:00 PM "Happy Days"

7:30 PM "Mister Ed" (repeat of yesterday's 2:30a)
8:00 PM "The Munsters"

I'm going to do like LucyFan and put suggestions followed by the actual sked. As always, ALL TIMES CENTRAL

1) Take "The Andy Griffith Show," "Leave it to Beaver," and "Gunsmoke" off of the schedule for a good five or six months. They've been on the channel way too long and need to give the others some spotlight.
2) For God's sake, take "Charlie's Angels" from that awful 4am timeslot and put it on during the daytime/afternoon.
3) Bring back "Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman" and put her in the 1pm/1:30 timeslot to give it the actual soap opera aspect.
4) Put "I Love Lucy" on twice a day, once at 11am and once at 6:30pm.
5) Steal "Three's Company" from Nick at Nite and air it in twice as nice at 5pm/5:30.
6) Take away Twice as Nice for "Happy Days," "Gilligan's Island," and "Sanford & Son." They've had good long runs in the block, especially HD and GI.
7) Put Bonanza at 9pm.
8) Take "The Brady Bunch" COMPLETELY off of the schedule. It's been rerunning for years and years and years and now it needs to go away for a good long time.
9) Take "The Waltons" away also. It's on Hallmark already, so what's the point of airing in the early morning when fans can watch it in the evening on Hallmark? The fans with Hallmark I mean...
10) Put "Mary Tyler Moore" and "Bob Newhart" in better spots.

I'll give more soon. I feel like ranting about Hallmark now...lol

I don't feel like doing a lineup so I'll just do sugestions:

*You need some short-lived shows. Some "Townies",Some "Stark Raving Mad",Some "Party Girl","Lush Life",etc. Put them in the kitschen replacing "Welcome Back Kotter" which really doesn't belong there.

*Air the final season of WBK

*Change the twice-as-nice lineup

*Dump TAGS and LITB

*You can still air TBB just air it's spinoffs "The Brady Brides","The Brady Kids","The Brady Bunch Variety Hour" and "The Bradys" as well.

*What about a weekly "Brady" movie? I mean there's enough.

*"Three's a Crowd" and "The Ropers"

*Bring back Krofft Shows!

*Animated "Mork & Mindy","Happy Days","My Favorite Martian",etc.

*Add "Wait till your father gets home".I loved that show when I saw it in reruns a few years back.

When will you realize that those shows are NOT TVLand material. Maybe Nick at Nite, but definatly NOT TVLand...

JT, thank you for pointing that out. I, too, agree on this.
