Lifetime is really getting to me... - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I'm still glad that the show is running and doing great for Lifetime, but I hate the way they're so snip happy. I noticed another funny line cut out in tonight's episode. It was the one where Buzz visits Rose and Sophia moves out (I don't know the episode names). Well, the original line went something like this:

Dorothy: Ma, it's 2AM. Where were you?
Sophia: Oh yea, me and Gurdie went down to Wolfie's to pick up guys.
Dothy: I called Wolfie's at 11PM. You weren't there.
Sophia: Guess who got lucky?
Dorothy: Oh God!

Now it's:

Dorothy: Ma, it's 2AM. Where were you?
Sophia: Oh yea, me and Gurdie went down to Wolfie's to pick up guys.
Dorothy: Oh God!

And I really liked that line too. Sigh...

It has been like that for a while....you might have saw the whole scene uncut when you watched episodes where they flashback....

A bit off topic, since I don't get Lifetime, but that episode you just mentioned, I saw a couple of nights ago here in Canada.

I would be mad too if that line, or any other funny lines, were cut.

That episode was so-so, and that line, was one of the funniest parts of that episode.

I saw that episode a while back, and I swear that line was in it uncut.

Oh well, it's just more butchering by cable stations.

I agree, I could've sworn Lifetime left that entire statement intact... unless they re-edited?

Or, I could've just seen that full line in a flashback episode.

Yea, I saw it a few times before in the episode and it was there. Either way, it's a shame what they're doing. I've seem some cuts a few months ago in two other episodes also. It only gets worse as time goes on.

I think they snip it to fit in more commercials sometimes. I've noticed with other networks that they cut out things and then show them the next time. TBS is bad for that with Roseanne.
