Dang, that means file-swappers better stop trading songs over the internet.

I guess the RIAA isn't playing anymore with people who download songs for free on the internet.

Stupid. If they think they can get every single person who downloads, they're seriously disturbed.

BAH!!!!!!!

It's the way of life, people will ALWAYS find ways around it...We had Napster a couple of years ago for songs and when they shut Napster down, KaZaA came around...I heard Napster might be coming back but if they do, you would have to pay a fee to use it...

what a load of crap

even they can't be stupid enough to sue their own customers! sue us and we CAN'T affoard to buy their albums. their are always ways around laws, and if they want people to go and buy cd's here is my suggestion: WRITE GOOD SONGS!!!!!!!! not just one or two good songs on a cd make whole cd's good put a full effort into all the songs; not just the ones you will make **** loads of money off of

Oh, totally! I mean it's not like the radio stations are saying they're going to sue us all for listening to the songs they play for free. To me, music, is an international thing that's been around since almost the beginning of time and we should be able to enjoy it. Plus, these artists already make plenty of money with merchantise, tours, etc!

Yeah. They'd probably have to sue half the United States... I dont see how this is any different then listening to them off the Radio, you can record them off there.

I saw on the news that RIAA will be going after 'everyone' who downloads music and they will be fined between $250 - $750. I don't see how in the world they will be able to go after 'everyone'. One of my local DJ's admits to downloading music himself.

yea but that won't work because you can just move the songs out of your shared folder and they won't know how many you have. plus there are Ip blockers and many many ways to keep who you are hidden while you are online.
