Talking For Love or Money

Has anyone else been following this show? I was sad when he let Lauren go tonight, but I want Paige to win!

Yah, do you mean Erin? Anyways, do you think that he will tell the three that are left that he knows about the money? If not, do you think they will find out? I heard that at the end the winner has to choose the guy or the money! Paige will choose him for sure! Who do you think will be the last two?

I found this web site for Paige http://www.lovepaigejones.com/default.asp

Just by looking at it and reading some of the stuff she has written, it kinda makes me feel as if Rob didn't choose her.

I dunno, they try to make you think that kinda stuff, but the contestants have to sign like a million dollar contract promising NOT to tell, or leak any info. They did the same on "the bachlorette"!

Yah, I guess your right. Will have to wait and find out what happens. Can't wait tell tonight. I hope that he doesn't send Paige home. Does anyone know if the finale is 2hrs?

Anyways, I found this info about the millon dollars:

From its first publicity release regarding For Love Or Money, NBC has played up the angle that the winning bachelorette will collect a Survivor-sized $1 million prize if she chooses money instead of love. However, astute viewers on the Reality TV World message boards have discovered that NBC's claim, like bachelor Rob Campos' claim that there was "absolutely nothing irregular" about his service in the Marines, is seriously misleading.

NBC will indeed pay the selected bachelorette $1 million ... but only at the state-lottery-like rate of $25,000 per year over 40 years (if, indeed, she's still alive 40 years from now). NBC is offering a lump-sum option to the lucky lady, if she prefers to get the present value of her winnings now, but it has not revealed the anticipated future interest rate at which NBC would discount the winnings to determine the lump sum.

If the rate was similar to the current level of interest rates -- say, 5% -- then the winner would still be able to abandon Rob on the altar and make off with about $450,000 -- less than half of the reported million, but still comparable to other reality shows. However, if NBC not unreasonably figures that future interest rates would bounce back to historic levels and used a higher rate -- say, 8% -- the winner would come out with less than $325,000 -- less than a third of the million. And, if NBC is really chintzy, it might pick an even-higher discount rate -- say, 10% or 11%.

In other words, the winner won't get a million dollars, regardless of NBC's claims to the contrary. She won't even get a half-million. She may be lucky to get a quarter-million. On the other hand, if she chooses the cash, however little it is, she won't get stuck with Rob. Therefore, we think the "hard choice" is still an easy call, even if the cash prize were only a U.S. savings bond.

OMG, did anyone watch last night's ep? I was so scared for Paige. I thought that Rob was not going to choose her when he started to talk about how he had a good time and then you saw Kelly smile. I was watching it with my friend Jen and she was like bye bye Paige and than Rob started saying stuff like so i hope we can see what happens... blah blah blah and then you saw Kelly not smiling (LOL). I was so happy. It will be a good show next week, i can't wait. Also did you here kelly after Rob gave her the boot? She was all like, I could marry a billionair if I wanted to and i didn't want to be the last one standing. I wonder if there will be any more surprises next week? Do you think Rob will choose the "beautiful" one or the "best" one (LOL)?

*lol* I didn't expect Kelly to get the boot, but it didn't matter to me, so long as Paige didn't have to leave yet.

I love this show! I watched the first two or three episodes and I was addicted but then I was so mad because I missed a few episodes because I wasn't home to watch the show. But I watched it Monday and I was very happy to see that Paige was still there because she's been my favorite since the beginning. I'm glad Kelly left in the last episode. I didn't like her too much. I think she was just after the money. Anyway, I like Paige and Erin. I'll be happy if either of them win, but I hope Paige wins.
