Exclamation Please help!!

Being that Sanford and Son is one of my favorite shows of all time, I decided to write an analysis of it for my media criticism class. The problem is, I need to use articles from 4 scholarly journals. Does anybody know where I can find some? Thanx alot!

I'm not sure what a scholarly journal is, but you may wanna start by looking in books about Blacks in media. ('History of...') Also, general books on American sitcom history. A good source might be a bio of Redd Foxx, though I'd bet that'd be hard to find. If you're *really* feeling like a sleuth, I'd call or email NBC & grill them or maybe even TvLand being that they seem to know so many little tidbits about each episode. They could probably guide you to written sources.

I've seen old, 70s issues of Jet, Ebony & Tv Guide feature the show's characters.
Dunno if they qualify as 'scholarly'.

There's a professor of African American studies at Harvard who appeared in the recent Matrix film & dammit, I don't know the guy's name, but he & other high profile African Americans would be goldmines of knowledge. Hell, try contacting Norman Lear! Why not? He's still alive. They aren't impossible to contact if you're willing to do the legwork. (ie- dozens of phone calls or emails)

Looking at the dvds I have, I'd also try contacting Sony Pictures &/or Columbia Tristar Home Entertainment.

Good luck!

Default Fred's little black book!!

If you could ever get your hands on Fred's black book it has all the names of the women he has dated. The book is huge because he has them arranged in three different ways. Alphabectically, by sizes and by there most recent preformance!!
