Default Ashton Kutcher Batman rumor

Okay, remember this is just a rumor. I found it at scifi.com, but still rumored is the keyword here.

E! Online's 'Nuff Said column reported a rumor that Ashton Kutcher is the only candidate to put on the cape and cowl in a proposed fifth Batman movie.

Gotta admit that Ashton is hot in Hollywood right now. I wonder who the villains will be, if they decide to do this new flick? Did Joker die in the first movie. The Riddler went absolutely nutso in the 3rd movie. Didn't Catwoman and Penguin die in the second one? It's been awhile since I've seen the movies, so I might not have the full story on what happened to each character. The 4th movie had Mr. Freeze and Posion Ivy, so who could be the next villain?

Thanks for keeping us updated for a rumored 5th Batman movie, I didn't think the last movie wasn't as good as the others, so I'm not sure this movie will do any better...

The only way I could see him playing Batman is if they cast Red Forman as the Joker.

Sample dialogue:

Batman (Kutcher) - It's over, Joker!

Joker (Red) - Dumbass!

I seriously doubt he's in any contention. He's the current "it" guy, so his name is popping up everywhere. I'm surprised Colin Farrel hasn't been mentoned yet...

lol

I forgot all about Colin. He has been everywhere lately. Or maybe Ben Affleck? Another person that has gotten a ton of press lately.

Okay, just came from scifi.com and they had another little rumor article.

Kutcher First For Batman?

Dark Horizons posted speculation about the rumor that Ashton Kutcher is the front-runner for a proposed fifth Batman movie. The '70s Show star is Warner Brothers' first choice, but not that of director Christopher Nolan, the site reported.

Citing an anonymous source, the site also reported that Nolan will make his choice in late August or early September from a list of as many as 20 actors.

The site added that Christopher Lloyd has been spotted on the Warner lot in the company of Nolan, fueling speculation that he may be in the running to play a villain called the Scarecrow.

I read on the Moviehole website this morning that another young thesp who really wants to don the cape and cowl is Freddy Prinze Jr.
Word is he's working out and has his reps pushing hard to get his name on the list.

God help us all.

Okay, so I've only saw Freddie in one movie and he was pretty good in the movie I did see him in, but I so can't imagine him as Batman. Really and truly can't see him as Batman. Geez, I can see Ashton as Batman more than I can Freddie. The truth is, maybe they need to branch out a bit more. Possibly look for an unknown actor, because the people they are naming, I just can't imagine them being the character. But if we are talking box office, Ashton would get a ton of money because you can't go anywhere now w/o hearing or seeing something about him. But Freddie.....

I think we can put an end to the Ashton Kutcher chapter in the Batman saga:

*whistles* They were quite rough with Mr. Kutcher. Go unknown. That's the only way to go, because frankly I can't see anybody in Hollywood playing Batman. Eh, I wonder if they'll have Robin and Batgirl in this new movie?

Lord, I hope not. So far, they haven't been able to portray Robin OR Batgirl in the movies with any kind of finesse, so maybe they'll just concentrate on Batman and whatever villian they happen to use. (On a side note, I think Christopher Llyod would make an excellent Scarecrow...in fact, he'd probably do a hella fine job as The Joker...and with, say, Pamela Anderson as Harley Quinn...yeah, I'd pay to see that!!)
