Default Attention Sanford and Son fans, we should only watch this show on local TV or DVD's..

Simply because the comedy is better. TV LAND has proved that they are not qualified to air a great show like S&S. They cut out the wrong parts and try to turn it to a Family show. So I have stopped watching S&S on TV LAND and only watch it on my local UPN station and DVD'S. I recommend the same for all fans of this show.

1. I don't have a DVD player, and I don't have enough money to buy one.
2. My local stations show nothing but crap.

Therefore, I have to watch TV Land. It sucks, but I do it.

I watch Sanford and Son usually on DVD;
TV Land seems to cut out a lot of scenes
which to me SUCKS, but they are just doing their job

Their Job??? Are you kidding??? Watch any show on Tvland and you'll notice that the majority of the editing is for their own stupid self-promotion. If they wouldn't tell us whats coming on next every 10 minutes, we might could watch these episodes uncut or darn near close. If that weren't bad enough, they have to split the screen and do voice overs during the credits to once again tell us whats coming on next.

That's exactly why I stopped watching S&S on TV LAND in April. Especially when they destroyed my favorite episode when Hulio Relatives moved in with Fred

Ditto

TVL is bad with promoting their own stuff, but at least they haven't started using pop ups that cover the screen and have sound. Now that is a pain in the ass, imo. I can't stand pop ups with sound and cover up half the screen.

Yeah, their self-promotion is very annoying

If you people are complaining about the "job" TVLand does editing, you should have seen the butcher job TBS did on the series in the late 80's. Anything racy was cut out of there. Get a second job or buy your DVD player and Sanford DVD's on secured credit, and watch it again on TVLand.

To quote Angel: Ain't no paaaty [TV] without ripple [Sanford].
