Default Kaley will be in an NBC miniseries...

Kaley will be in an NBC miniseries
about an earthquake hitting Seattle...looks like it could be good: NBC hasn't set an airdate yet.

NBC's Quake Miniseries Adds to Cast Fri, Jun 20, 2003 02:16 PM PDT
LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Several prominent actors have signed on to NBC's miniseries "10.5," which depicts a huge earthquake hitting the West Coast.

Production began this week on the four-hour miniseries, which stars Kim Delaney ("NYPD Blue," "Philly") as Dr. Samantha Hill, a seismologist who sees the disaster coming and is "entrusted with responsibility of saving the West Coast from the biggest earthquake ever recorded." Not that there's any pressure on her or anything.

Joining Delaney in the cast are three-time Emmy winner Beau Bridges ("The Agency") as the president, Fred Ward ("Sweet Home Alabama" ), Dule Hill ("The West Wing"), John Schneider ("Smallville") and Kaley Cuoco ("8 Simple Rules ..." ).

The story has a major quake hitting the Seattle area. When a series of aftershocks is felt as far away as Northern California, Hill and her supervisor/ex-lover (David Cubitt, "Robbery Homicide Division") realize that major fault lines along the are connecting. The resulting super-quake could disconnect the West Coast from the rest of the continent.

Ivan Sergei ("Crossing Jordan") and Rebecca Jenkins ("Guilty Hearts" ) also star. John Lafia ("The Dead Zone") is directing a script he co-wrote with Ronnie Christensen and Chris Canaan ("Walker, Texas Ranger").

I'll watch it, too! I'm really excited about all the parts she's been getting. (Okay, like two, but still. That's great. ) Thanks for the news!

There is no set airdate, but it will be sometimes next season, either November, February, or May.

Full release, Kaley plays the daughter of John Schneider's character:

As the result of an earthquake that hits the Pacific Northwestern United States, major fault lines start connecting and create a catastrophe of epic proportions as the West Coast of North America begins to separate from the rest of the continent.

BURBANK, Calif. -- June 20, 2003 -- From executive producers Michael Jaffe, Howard Braunstein (“Martha, Inc.: The Martha Stewart Story”), and Gary Pearl (“Liberty Stands Still) comes NBC’s new mini-series “10.5,” which began production this week in Vancouver, Canada. The seismic thriller stars Kim Delaney (“NYPD Blue”) as Dr. Samantha Hill, an intellectual earthquake expert whose theories and take-charge attitude are put to the test as she is entrusted with responsibility of saving the West Coast from the biggest earthquake ever recorded.

During a heated meeting of the minds on a basketball court in Washington D.C., President Paul Hollister (Beau Bridges, “The Agency”) and Roy Nolan, Executive Director of F.E.M.A (Fred Ward, “Sweet Home Alabama”) are informed by a Secret Service agent of a massive earthquake in Seattle, WA with aftershocks being felt in Northern California. During a heated debate with her supervisor and former lover Dr. Jordan Fisher (David Cubitt, “Robery Homicide Division”), about the source and progression of the unexpected quakes, Drs. Fisher and Hill are summoned by Roy Nolan on orders of the President, to Washington, DC to meet with FEMA. Meanwhile, at an over crowded Los Angeles hospital emergency room, resident surgeon Owen Hunter (Dule Hill, NBC’s “The West Wing”) and his maverick surgical partner Dr. Zack Nolan (Ivan Sergei, NBC’s “Crossing Jordan”) learn that Zack’s estranged father, Roy Nolan, director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency has been put in charge of the unfolding disaster. With the country now focused on the unfolding disaster, California Govern or Carla Williams (Rebecca Jenkins, “Guilty Hearts”), at first offers support to the Governor of Washington and then learns that her state has just been hit by an even bigger earthquake than that of the Seattle quake just hours earlier. Simultaneously, her ex-husband (John Schneider, “Smallville”) is camping with their daughter (Kaley Cuoco, “8 Simple Rules”) and is out of phone or radio news contact when the quakes start to hit.

“10.5” is directed by John Lafia (“The Dead Zone,” “Child’s Play”), with Jaffe-Braunstein and Pearl Pictures serving as Executive Producers. The teleplay written by Lafia, Ronnie Christensen (“Dark Angel”), Chris Canaan (“The House on Turk Street”) and Hallmark Entertainment will distribute the film.
