I think i heard people in the audience who were very emotional at the end of Stivics Go West. Did anyone else notice this when they saw the end of ths episode? I'm not 100% sure but just want to know if anyone heard the same.

Yes, the audience was very emotional when Mike and Gloria left. You were not hearing things. The audience openly cried, the episode was that moving and emotional. I cried when I first saw that episode. I also remembering that the actors were not acting during the last ten minutes, it was real...tears and all.

What season does that episode happen in? Also, was it the first or last episode of <insert season here>?

Jenny correct me if i'm wrong, but on the N@N version of Stivics go West, The last scene is when Mike hugs Archie on the Porch. I think they don't show anything after that. Is that Correct |

That was defintely the most saddest scene to watch. the actors did excellent especially when Mike admitted to archie he loved him. it was fascinating. there will never be a sitcom ever again like all in the family. its magical

There is alot of emotion coming from the audience during this episode. I usually watch tv with headphones, so I always hear things that aren't heard by watching without them. In the scene where Gloria hugs Edith in the house, you can hear a lady speak the words: This is good. Also as Gloria looks at Archie before breaking down, you can clearly hear someone in the audience sobbing. The next bit of audience emotion I heard was when Mike and Archie were on the porch together, and Archie is about to speak. You can hear what sounds like someone crying in the backround. The last bit of emotion I noticed in the episode was at the very end when Archie, and Edith are sitting on their chairs. As the picture begins fading to black, you hear another person in the audience lose it, and start crying.
I know if I would have been at this taping, I would have been crying right along with everyone. That episode is quite possibly the most emotional in tv history! |
