Default Disney Wooing 'Lizzie McGuire' Star Again

One weeek after Disney said that it had broken off with reps. og Hilary Duff because it reguerded her demands as excessive , The WSJ reported wednesday that Disney chairmen Mike Eisner has urged execs. to keep the negotiations going and that Pres. Bob Iger himself is now leading talks for both sequals to a movie and a new round of tv episodes that could be broudcast on Disney's ABC television network . Duff's Reps. who incclude her mom Susan Duff are seeking many times more than the $ 15,000-per-episode she was previously paid for the Lizzie series when it aired on Disney Channel and that they want 5 million for the movie sequel.

Hilary wasn't gettin' $15,000 per episode! At least that's not what I read! She was gettin' $35,000 per episode! I don't think she should get more money than $35 grand per episode from ABC. She's getting $4 mill. for A Cinderella Story, she got $2 mill. for Lizzie McGuire Movie, and she got $35 grand per episode x 65! She's way past a millionaire! I don't know why Susan is asking, like $100,000 per episode or something!

Arrow She WAS making $15,000 an ep.

Hilary WAS making $15,000 an episode for "Lizzie." In negotiations for a new series, Disney was offering a raise to $35,000, reportedly, and the Duffs were reportedly asking for $100,000 per episode.

People will think what they want, but I think that in today's TV market, the $35,000 offer was too low, considering how successful Lizzie McGuire was and how the biggest stars get paid over $1,000,000 an episode. Hilary's not in that league yet, surely, but she proved that she's capable of pulling in viewers, so I think Disney should have upped their offer in recognition of that. Maybe not $100,000, that could be negotiated, but something significant. And if a new Lizzie series failed, they wouldn't have to pay her very long.

And to those who say that they would gladly work for $35,000 an episode, here's a suggestion: why don't you go try and get a job starring in your own TV show? Let's see how far you get! You just don't apply for those kind of jobs, you EARN them after years of hard work.

Here's a little reality from someone a little older. Her mother is a greedy dope. If this young woman had any sense she'd get mom out of her negotiations and find someone who has more common sense. Hilary has a 'shelf life' of 3,4 maybe at the most 5 years of playing the roles she's playing. She'll go back to Disney because she will soon realize this.

I dont think she will go back to Disney and make a return to Lizzie McGuire. She already in the process of making 2 new movies that will premire in theaters and another one that has no name yet... shes also finished up her personal album.. now do you really think that she will go back to lizzie mcguire?

Also, Haylie Duff, her sister said that maybe Hilary will have some plans to do something with Disney later on in her career..

And Hilary said "People say that my mom are taking over my career and making all the decicions for me, but Im 15... who else is going to do it?"

I have a feeling that in about 5 years she'll be in Playboy talking about how her mother destroyed her career.

Umm.. I dont think you know what has been going on with Lizzie McGuire lately have you? Dude, theres no more Lizzie.. err.. ever... no movie sequel, no new season on ABC, no new nuthing.. oh wait, they were talking about making an animated Lizzie McGuire, but I highly doubt they will. I will also admit that the movie wasnt that great... if they would have change the whole

bubble gum- every girls dream - all of a sudden a diva- best friend romance- never would have happened to an ordinary person as they claim Lizzie to be plot, then hey, it could have been good.

I haven't seen the movie, but I'm sure it's okay. LaLAiNeZzChIcK, you have your opinion, I have mine, and I'm fine with that. Lizzie was never really normal, as Disney puts it. She kissed Aaron Carter (which disgusts me, personally), went out with Frankie Muniz, and becomes discovered by an "Italian pop star". Not a normal life, now, is it?
