I'm the fan of the feisty George Jefferson and always will be. Who your's choice?

I still find the 80's episodes to be entertaining with a watered down George, but the season 1-2 George is with out a doubt one of the funniest characters in sitcom history and, incidentally, one of the most racist.

Feisty George. The George Jefferson from 1981 to the end of the series was dull. He was not the same person and the show was not enjoyable to watch especially the final two seasons. They were very painful to watch. Too bad Norman Lear did not have enough sense to know when to pull the plug. Take a lesson from Bea Arthur in knowing when to leave a series.
