Default 1970pt

Leviathans has come to a close. Now it's time for 1970PT. In this thread, we can talk about our thoughts, etc about this storyline. *giggles* Yeah uh werm.

So far it seems very interesting. The characters so far have been great. I like how Carolyn Loomis is so different from the Carolyn of our timeband. I loved the ending of today's second episode, where Amy reveals it wasn't her singing. The entire Maggie-haunted-by-the-memory-of-Angelique thing is great, imo.

I like the portrait of Angelique. It is much better than the one they used to introduce Cassandra Collins in 1968. I also like the melody they use in the scenes set in Angelique's bedroom.

Tomorrow, Alexis Stokes arrives at Collinwood. Yayness. The first episode tomorrow was originally aired on April 2, 1970 - exactly one year before the show's last episode aired.

Does Barnabas have to be a vampire every time he goes to a different time? Every thing was so expected today.

Well, he can't escape it by going into another time band because he's still the same Barnabas - nothing has changed. And whenever he goes into the past, he has to be a vampire because he was a vampire in 1897 and 1840 originally.

I love this storyline so far. Everything is so bright and pretty. ^-^ lol. Tomorrow is Kathryn Leigh Scott and Grayson Hall's last episode until like #1011 or so. *le sigh*

Kathryn's character is important to this storyline so far. Is it because of the movie HODS she is not going to appear until episode #1011? I remember you said they were filming the movie during this storyline.

Yep. It's because of HODS. Since she has a vital role in the movie, she had more off time than some of the others. Her disappearance from the storyline is explained very well.

Maggie is...wermish...so far. If I were her, I would've told Hoffman off and gotten her fired. And I would tell hubby Quentin to go take some anger management classes.

EDITED: Grayson is gone until #1011, and Kathryn Leigh Scott is gone until #1016. I got my numbers mixed up.

Ahh! I accidently set my timer tape thing for SoapNet instead of Sci Fi today, so I got stuck with Port Charles and SoapCenter. *screams* Why do I miss the episodes I want to see? First I miss the arrival of Suki Forbes in 1795, then the end of 1897, and now the arrival of Alexis Stokes. *le sigh*

I liked Suki. *shrug* It's too bad they never brought her back in another role. I really liked her interaction with Nathan and Millicent.

Yeah, I know about the Barnabas/Bramwell thing. I'm still looking forward to 1841PT though, especially the last episode since that's the last episode of the whole series.

I also enjoy "Ode to Angelique." And boy, if I were Maggie. I would be running the show at Collinwood. It would been like "Look, Hoffman, I don't know why you are acting like such a bitch to me, but you had better stop it before I open a can of whoopass. Do you understand me?" I kinda find Bruno's last name funny....Bruno Hess. Not as funny as his hair though. Does he ever go back to regular hair? Gawd I hope so. I wonder if the producers made Stroka do his hair like that....

Maggie needs to stand up for herself and she needs to stop acting like a nitwit. Maggie has no backbone whatsoever. If I were her, I would have had Hoffman fired and I would've also had a talk with Quentin over his anger management problem.

His hair goes back to 'normal' in the 1840 storyline, which is the next storyline he appears in (he's not in the storyline after 1970PT). It's also his last storyline on the show. He plays Laszlo Ferrari in that time period.

LOL. I like how they have real animals in Cyrus' lab. DS has been great. I'm so glad the Leviathan storyline is over.

Bruno and Sabrina have the ugliest hair on the show...Cyrus isn't that far behind. Bruno...how many cans of hairspray did they use on his hair? Sabrina's wig is SO ugly. I don't see why they made her wear a wig in the first place since her hair looked nice the one time they showed it in a flashback during early 1969. Cyrus needs a comb. Badly. -_-

I'm not. When that storyline started it was new and never been done before. 1970PT is blah imo. Maybe it will get better in time.

*shrug* I liked Leviathan when it started, but in the middle of the storyline it went sour IMO. It could've been good, but the writers messed up and rewrote too much stuff. First only the werewolf can kill Jeb. And then as a side note, they add drowning to the list of what-can-kill-Jeb.

1970PT, in my opinion, is pretty interesting and mysterious. I love the 'what happened to Angelique?' and 'are Angelique and Alexis the same person?' I also like the entire Cyrus thing, even though Sabrina is annoying. And I know you like Barnabas, but I like how they're focusing on other actors/actresses like Lara Parker and David Selby.

I can't wait for Friday's episodes. One of the scenes in the episodes of that day is considered by a lot of people as pretty chilling. ^-^
