Default Opinions on these classics

Hi! I'd love to read what everyone thinks about these classic retro cartoons:

- Popeye
- Garfield
- Pink Panthar
- The Flintstones
- The Jetsons

I love all of them. I seem to be watching Boomerang all the time at the moment. Boomerang UK is adding Garfield and Friends to it's lineup soon! Brilliant! Now if only Popeye was shown a bit more...

- Popeye (D) In my opinion, overrated. Predictable cartoons can be a good thing, but in this case, it is NOT the case! The animation stinks, the voice acting is below par and the comedy simply isn't there.
- Garfield (A-) - A classic, which I wish they would start showing again here in the USA. Great all around.
- Pink Panthar (A-) - Love them and haven't seen any in a while. Classic voiceless toonage.
- The Flintstones (B+) - I love cartoons with laugh tracks and this is one of the best ones.
- The Jetsons (B+) - Same opinion as the Flintstones, except the episodes not made in the 60s are not as good because they are lacking the laugh track.

- Popeye - I never liked it that much
- Garfield - This show rocks! I've probably seen every episode of it.
- Pink Panthar - Never seen it
- The Flintstones - I liked it when I was little, but I really can't stand it now
- The Jetsons - I still like it

I actually don't care for the older Popeye's that Turner owns and runs on Cartoon Network & Boomerang, HOWEVER, I did enjoy the run that was put together in the 70's. I liked that one (the name of the company that put them together escapes me at the moment).

I never much cared for Garfield.

The Pink Panther, Flintstones and Jetsons are all classics that receive my highest marks!! I can watch them anytime!!

I love the old Max Fleischer "Popeyes" from the thirties, and the color Famous Studios version from the forties. Everything after that declines in quality (although some of the King Features cartoons from the early sixties adapted some of Elzie Segar's "Thimble Theatre" storylines, including "Mystery Melody" and , I think, "Plunder Island");

I prefer the animated Garfield to his comic-strip counterpart, if for no other reason than the animated version is FUNNIER;

The theatrical "Pink Panther" shorts are far superior to the shorts made fortelevision (ESPECIALLY that horrid revival with Matt Frewer providing the voice!);

The Flintstones...there's not enough room in cyberspace for me to declare my love for this series...AND its spinoffs!!;

Ditto the Jetsons, although I, too, prefer the original 26 made in 1962 to the additional 85 made during the eighties.
