Default Characters who were funnier on the Parent Show and less funny on their own spinoff

These were characters who lost somethng once they had their own show.

George Jefferson-Extremely Funny on All in the Family but Less funny on the Jeffersons.

Mork was a Huge hit on Happy Days and not funny at all on Mork and Mindy

Stanley Roper very funny on Three's Company and BORING on his show "The Ropers.

These three characters obviously needed Archie Bunker, Fonzie, and Jack Tripper to generate laughs which is why they were less funny on their own show. Anyone Agree

What Does Florida Evans have to do anything? If you are saying that she was Funny on Maude and Good Times, I'm only discussing spinoffs. Good Times was not a spinoff.

I completely disagree. George Jeffersons got funnier on The Jeffersons when he left the tiring All In The Family show. Plus, it's quite clear the George didn't need Archie one bit because look how long the show lasted. TJ outlived AITF.

Mork was just as funny on his show as on Happy Days.

I said George became LESS funny, Yes he still was funny on the Jeffersons but on AITF, He was WILD!!. On the Jeffersons, George became soft ans less mean as the years went on. Especially the 80's. Just look at a AITF episode with George from 73-75 and Look at a Jeffersons episode from 1980 and you will see the Difference.

That's a matter of your opinion.

I also thought that Florida Evans was funnier on Maude than Good Times. I loved what she said towards Maude on the show.

Lisa Bonet was funny on The Cosby Show, but horribly boring on A Different World.

And I thought Good Times WAS a spin off.

No, Good Times was not a spinoff, it was explained by the executive Producer of Good Times in 1975 that the Florida Evans character was changed Completely from the Florida Evans character on Maude.

SOLOMON is more personal, and we all know you by that name. It has character with all caps, and sitcom analyzer was written under it anyway.
When people reply to you, it will a pain to write...well Sitcom Analyzer, I agree with that because....
Why not post a poll on Chit Chat. My guess is most will agree.

Cheers, Family Ties, The Cosby Show, Night Court and Seinfeld. I would catch AITF and The Jeffersons occasionally too.

When the Jeffersons started their own show, did you expect Edith and Archie to guest star on the Jeffersons?
