I prefer the animated opening, even though TV Land isn't completely presenting it to us in its "original" form. For me, it makes it more fun to watch ILL than to see the script-heart opening (which I find boring).

I like the heart opening better. I like the cartoon opening, but I miss seeing the heart opening.

I love both openings, but right now I like the heart opening better. I think TV Land should alternate the openings. For example, in one cycle they could show the cartoon opening, and then in the next the heart opening.

I prefer the animated opening, I think it's a creative way to open up the show and it makes the opening credits more enjoyable to watch.

I know the cartoon version was the way ILL was originally presented but I like the heart opening better, it's what I grew up with and I'm not a big fan of change.

When you've been seing the heart opening for decades, it's so ingrained in you, it's hard to think of any other opening as adequate, even the original!

I guess I'm funny that way then; after seeing it for a couple of decades...I'm sick and tired of it.

Hey, to each his own. I was stunned to find out the one i LOVED was not the original opening after all, and i thought the stick figure one was different and nice. I'm just saying that watching the stick figures after getting used to the heart for 40 years or more would be like seing a talk show host come out from the audience instead of behind the curtain, i'm just so used to the other way, you know?

*is confused* The Heart opening isn't classic! The cartoon one is!
Anyway, I like the cartoon one the best, even though I like the heart one too!

Yeah, it was a shock to me too! Desi even integrated the commercials also at the beginning. It would be nice to see those versions on the new DVD's!
