Default Tim Daly was on "Monk" last night

the episode of "Monk" that Tim Daly made a guest-appearance in was on last night. I hadn't seen it before.
I was cracking up when they got on the plane and then that woman (i don't know the character's name. i've only watched the show like, 2 times) was like, "oh my gosh! that's Tim Daly!" and Monk says, "Who is he, an actor or something?" and she says, "yeah, he was on that show Wings!" and Monk says "was it any good?" and she says, "well, he was."

that's cool that Tim made a guest appearance on Tony Shalhoub's show.

That sounds funny Krista....sorry I missed it.

I remember Steven Weber had a funny appearance on Tony's sit-com called "Stark Raving Mad". That show really wasn't very good, but I happened to watch that episode when it aired just because I wanted to see Steven and Tony together again.

It is great that Tony has had Steven and Tim on his other shows.

I like the "edit" button on this board.

LOL, no need to feel bad Krista.....I don't think too many people will remember "Stark Raving Mad". I don't think it even lasted a full season. I remember checking it out just because Tony was in it, but it wasn't the right type of role for him. He played a cranky writer or something like that.

But I still remember the episode Steven appeared in. He played an obsessed fan of Tony's work......... He could recite chapters of Tony's books, and stuff like that........Steven did a great job of playing this geeky over the top fan.

I finally saw this episode tonight. I, too thought the part with Tim Daly was funny, too how Monk didn't know who he was. I did not like that goatee/van dyke thing that Tim was sporting. I don't know if anybody knew this but the woman who played the flight attendant was named Brooke Adams and she's married to Tony Shalhoub in real life. One other thing I noticed(and this is when my pop culture nonsense kicks in), but Bitty Schram who plays Sharona on the show was in the movie 'A League of their Own' which was directed by Penny Marshall, who of course, played Laverne DeFazio. Penny's brother is Garry Marshall who was also in 'League', and the extension cord salesman sitting next to Monk & Sharona.

wow Phoebe- that's a lot of trivia floating around in your head. hehehe that's awesome!

oh, and I actually thought Tim looked good wiuth a goateee. Usually, I'm not a big fan of facial hair, but he looked cute with a goatee.
