Les Miserables/Cosette? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Am I the only one who noticed, on Cheers last night (last night being 1:30 AM on June 10th on Nick @ Nite), when Woody was practicing for the play... the guy standing in there had a Les Miserables sweatshirt with Cosette on the front and "Les Miserables" on the back! It was episode 177, season 8... yes yes, I've done my research! Now it's just absolutely driving me crazy! If anybody happens to have a tape of that episode, or knows anywhere I could get it... tell me, please! I need my Les Miz! (Hey, that rhymed!)

Nop i noticed that too! But hey that's a pretty common episode so if you want to record it wait a while and they'll prob. replay it!

Whats your infatuation with Les Miserables just out of curiosity. I read the unbridged version of the book and may I say that was long and time consuming. One of my friends read the entire book in French which I thought she had no life but anyway WHY?

Eh, basically I have no life. I got completely caught up in the book, and the musical is great as well. I'd read it in French- if I actually knew French... ah, some other time, I guess. It comes down to: I think Victor Hugo is a genius, even though he thought he could talk to Joan of Arc. *nods*

Oui! C'est vrai! Les Mis in French is incredible. I think literature always loses something in translation. But, I'm totally biased b/c I'm a French, Spanish and Italian lit major. . .

). As someone who understands French though, I have to ask: are you scandalized when you hear Lilith speak it on Cheers? Her accent is atrocious!!

lol no no no no no Im not a language Major, I am Half spanish a quater french and a quater lebanese! lol But I can speak Spanish and English! lol

Ria: You see I read your post too quickly and thought you said that you were of Spanish, French, and Italian Heritage! so then I was all psyched cause I thought "WOW we almost have the same heritage" Then after I posted I realized you said major! Sorry for the confusion

Im going to be a psychology major, maybe specialize in Behaviorism? I'm not sure yet...

I love this scene, where they are sitting there going "I guess the solution is to not having kids is we never have sex again..." lol and this picture is when they are sitting there contemplating that thought! lol

Aaaaaaaaah, got it!! Nope, in true Bostonian style, I'm half Italian, half Irish. But you can still speak Spanish though, that's key (and probably the most useful). . .

Thats good to know. Although people don't really think Im of any spanish heritage, well thats because my family is from the Northern Part of Spain, And the other part is from southern france and then well I guess the lebanese side of me never made it through, because I have very fair skin, green eyes and dirty blonde hair.
