Default Beaver's Self-Destuction Part#1 & 2

June is in the kitchen cleaning and thinking about how Beaver has been acting lately. She's thinking that he's been so withdrawn and down and it has her very worried, after all,Beaver is her baby. She starts thinking about the time when Beaver was a carefree child not all that long ago. She fights back the tears.
Just then Wally walks in from school.

Wally: Hi mom.
June: Hi Wally, how was your day?
Wally: Same old junk, different day how about you?He notices that June is preoccupied.
Wally: Mom? You ok? Mom?
June: (realizes he's talking to her) Yes honey,I'm fine.
Wally: You sure? You look like you are ready to cry. Did I do something wrong?
June: No Wally, you did nothing wrong. I'm fine,I just have alot on my mind.
Wally: Oh, I get it, you are going through the same thing that Eddie's mom is going through.
June: What do you mean? What's Eddie's mom going through?
Wally: Well you know that junk that women go through at your age always crying about nothing and junk.
June:(shoots him a look) Wally!! Where on earth did you get an idea like that?!
Wally: Sorry mom,Eddie (pauses)
June: oh, Eddie. It figures. Ewwww that Eddie. (sounding mad)
Wally: What about Eddie mom?
June: Well the way he acts I'm suprised his mother isn't in a looney bin by now.
Wally: Eddie is just Eddie.
June: Well, he's always pushed it with me but I feel that he has gotten very dirty and disrespectful.
Wally: (laughs) Dirty? You should have heard the joke he told me today!
June: Young man!
Wally: Sorry mom.
June: I need to talk to you about your brother.
Wally: What about?
June: Has Beaver confided in you about what might be bothering him?
Wally: No, we haven't talked too much about nothing.
June: (agitated) Anything! I wish you boys would use the correct grammer.
Wally: um, oh ok mom. Why are you asking me about this?
June: He's been so moody and withdrawn lately.
Wally: Aw is that all mom? He's a normal kid. He'll grow up.
June: Oh! My baby!! (starts crying)
Wally: (worried) Did I say something wrong? I didn't mean to make you cry. (Puts his arm around her shoulder) Mom, don't cry. Please? Dad will clobber me.
June: (wipes tears away) Oh Wally, it's not you.
Wally:(angers) The Beaver! I'll kick his (pauses) remembering he's talking to his mother
June: Wally! I won't tolerate any dirty language or violence in this house!
Wally: Mom, I didn't say anything bad.
June: You were going to. I'm just worried sick about your brother.
Wally: Why don't you ask him about it?
June: I tried, but he just says that nothing is wrong.

Part 2

Ward and June are setting the table for dinner. June is wondering where Beaver is.

June: Ward, where could Beaver be?
Ward: Dear, I'm sure he will be here soon.
June: We should talk to him at dinner.
Ward: Why, what's wrong now?
June: Haven't you noticed how different he's been lately?
Ward: Honey, he's becoming a young man, he's just getting to the point where he doesn't care to communicate with his parents.
(laughs)
June: Oh Ward!(she turns away)
Ward:(concerned) Honey, what's wrong? I was just teasing. Try not to take it too seriously. You know teenagers, one day they are full of information and next day you can't pry anything out of them.
June: I'm telling you there is something very wrong with my baby.
Ward: June, he is no longer a baby,he is growing up.
June:(raises her voice) He is my baby and he always will be!(tears filling her eyes as she runs to the kitchen.)
Ward follows her.
Ward: Sweetheart,(he says compassionately as he stands behind her with his arms around her waist) Don't cry, I'm sure Beaver is just fine.
June(leaning her head against his chest) Well, you can't tell me that he is fine can you?
Ward: Well darlin', he hasn't said he wasn't. I'm sure that if Beaver is in trouble or upset about something, he will come to us.
Please try not to worry.
June(turns around with tears streaming down) I can't help it, I just feel that something is just so wrong and I think it is something horrible and I'm getting scared.
Ward(his arm still around her, wipes her tears) Sweetheart, don't be scared, I just don't see anything wrong. Don't read anything into this.
June: But Ward..
Ward:(puts his finger up to her lips)shhh(says affectionately and quietly) don't worry baby,it will be alright.
He kisses her tenderly and they embrace as Beaver walks in.

END OF PART 2.....More Later!
