Default The Tony Awards...

I know this topic will probably get like no replies, but did anybody else watch the Tonys besides me?

Curious......

I know, ugh, Hairspray took like 10 awards! Marissa Jaret Winokur even beat out Bernadette Peters for Best Actress in a Musical! And did you see BP's performance? Holy pineapple, she knows how to strut her stuff.

But they didn't show anything from Amour! Instead they showed that Def Poetry Jam thing twice. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

I was at the Tony's.

Ridiculous Bernadette's loss was. I felt the same about Antonio's loss, but Harvey was so incredibly gracious it made up for everything. Bernadette broke my heart. What a performance! I haven't had the opportunity to see Gypsy yet, but hopefully I'll be able to see it soon. I heard she's fierce. If the Tony performance was any hint of that, I have no doubts!

My pleasant surprise of the evening was Miss Michele Pawk winning. What a sweetheart and what a lovely speech! She's a class act and was incredibly deserving of that award. Can't wait for "Bounce" to hit NYC. Sondheim, Michi, and Gavin Creel -- what more could one ask for?

Anyone else find Daniel Sunjata incredibly tasty? Yum.

Guido. Guido --
I was lazing around my bedroom and idea occured to me I thought you might be wondering about, Guido.

Who's not wearing any clothes? I'm not. Who's afraid to kiss your toes? I'm not.

Your mama dear, is blowing into your ear so you'll get it loud and clear. I need you to squeeze me here and here and here!

Cootchie, cootchie, cootchie-coo. I've got a plan for what I'm gonna do to you. So HOT you're gonna steam and scream. And vibrate like a string -- I'm plucking.

Kiss your fevered little brow. Pinch your cheeks till you say "OW!" And I can hardly wait to show you how -- GUIDO!

Who won't care if you come to me tired and over worked? I won't, bambino! Who knows a therapy to beat what you can get from me? I won't!

But this will have to be enough for now, Guiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiido! <catches her breath>

Ciao.

I like your avatar. Yeah, I was pretty upset about Brian Stokes Mitchell and Antonio losing to Harvey Fierstein..but what can you do?

Michele Pawk was so funny! What a great personality she has. And I'm looking forward to Bounce too...yes, another Sondheim fan! Do you post at sondheim.com?
