I just saw an episode where Jack got his first restaurant, but didn't have the money.

Furley(eventhough he didn't know the amount) wrote a check for him.

Would Mr. Roper have done the same?

I don't think so, considering they made it seem that Mr. Roper didn't like Jack. It was obvious that Mr. Furley did but just got mad at him at times. But, you never know...Mr. Roper can be really nice at times.

I think Mrs. Roper would've made Mr. Roper give Jack the money, since she loved the kids so much.

"Shane West's Angel", I wouldn't say that Mr. Roper disliked Jack, he was just scared of the fact that Jack was "gay". I also agree that Mrs. Roper would have made Mr. Roper give the money.
