Default Pick the TV Married Couple you did NOT like and why?

James and Florida Evans

George and Louise Jefferson

Archie and EDith Bunker

Clair and Cliff Huxtable

Al and Peg Bundy

Mike and Carol Brady.

My least favorite TV married couple is the Huxtables because she was Arrogant and the Husband was Goofy.

Al and Peg Bundy, by far. I did not find Married ... with Children watchable by any stretch of the imagination.

Mike and Carol. Why? Well he was so obviously gay so why didn't they just let him come out? I mean it was the 70's!

Have Mike "come out" on the show?!!! Are you wick, wick, wack? We know he was gay in real life, but he was a believable enough hetero on the show.

Out of that list, I vote for Clair and Cliff. We might all know by now that I think Cliff wrote himself presctriptions in the later years. Why did he do this? Probably because Clair was always acting like she was God's Gift to all the right answers in the world.

Okay, now I need to post my favorite couple on the "favorite couple thread." I feel guilty for being such a complainer.

Mike and Carol Brady - too cliched
Clair and Cliff Huxtable - both of them were really arrogant

Default TV couples

Are these the only choices?
I hate the Married With Children couple, but also hate Ricky & Lucy. Both are just obnoxious and stupid.

LOL. Ya know, it's funny-- all it takes is one statement and a person can know automatically that someone else's tastes are a little OFFFFF. With a comment like that, you should get banned from the boards.

The Bundy's- I think I have watched that show one time. That's all I could take!

The Roper's - very annoying! Especially her!

The Huxtables.

First off Clair has to be one of the most aggravating characters of all time- an arrogant know-it-all who seems to have never done wrong or made a mistake. Apparently she knows more about life than all the rest of the world combined.

Secondly, Claire again.

And third Phylicia Rashad. Don't know if it's a spillover from her character, but I don't think so.
And going on her third divorce- what would Clair say???

He was as convincing as a straight man as Rock Hudson was on McMillan and Wife. They seemed as straight as anyone. They were good actors.

thank you Solomon, my sentiments exactly. Not to mention he was a push-over and made to look like a whimpy fool. He couldn't eat certain foods...She had a fit when there was chocolate milk in the refrigerator...gimme a break woman...get off your damn high horse and SHUT UP!!!! All the men on that show at one point in time were all made to look like fools...but that discussion is one that many already know how I feel, so please don't bitch or complain abt how I feel abt those lousy men on Cosby show.

Al and Peg Bundy: too many reasons to list.

I agree. Especially about Clair, she ruined the Cosby show. IMO

I'll go with Al & Peg, then Cliff & Clair. My pick for worst married couple, however, is Thelma Frye and Reuben Gregory of Amen. They had nothing in common and had no chemistry. He was a calm, cool, sophisticated, and intelligent pastor and she was a whiny bundle of nerves who couldn't cook or keep a job. The reverend barely seemed able to tolerate her at times. They were totally mismatched and unconvincing as a couple.
