Thumbs down E! show on FoL

Hey! I was just wondering if anyone happened to see the E! true hollywood story. I know that alot of people (or at least a couple) didn't get the channel, but of those who do, what did you think? I personally didn't like it.

I thought it was ok. I thought they focused too much on Jeri Gewell and all her problems since she was asked to leave the show. They also focused too much on the first season people. They interviewed people like Nancy and Mr. Bradley from the first year. The interview from Mindy Cohn was from the 94 or 95 USA Marathon. Lisa Whelchel and Charlotte Rae were the only major players that were interviewed for this special. The grown up Andy was also interviewed.

I know these specials try to be sensational and they brought up the girls weight and contract negotiations...even talking to Nancy McKeon's agent(totally unnecessary imo). I wish they would've just focused Mrs. G and the 4 girls. Unfortunately neither Nancy McKeon or Kim Fields were interviewed for the E! Special which makes me wonder if they really don't want to be associated with FOL. Lisa(Blair)looked real happy with her family.

The best part was when they showed the snippet from the Natalie loses her virginity episode and Jo's priceless reaction. Now if only N@N will show that episode!!!

I agree! I also thought that they focused way too much on the whole Jerri thing, not that I mean to be insensitive, but yes - they should have focused more on the five main characters. It wouldn't have hurt to make and attempt to get some recent interviews with the actresses before they aired the show. That one interview with Mindy Cohn was from like 6 years age. They should have updated it more. Oh, and did you notice how at the very end when the credits were rolling (I think)there was a brief clip of what looked to be a recent interview with Nancy McKeon, but there was nothing of it in the program for the entire hour. They should have aired what they had of that, and anything else with other main characters. I don't know why they included some of the first season girls - they had almost nothing to do with the show - at least not when it became popular. I think that E! should of and could of done a better job.

There was a segment with Lisa Winchell and Kim Fields on Entertainment Tonight on CBS this evening. It said to go to their website to check out other facts on some of the people they included on their show. I think I'll check it out.

Anybody else really sick and tired of watching shows about the girls' weight issues? I've seen the same stuff over and over. Again tonight on ET, basically all the same footage from when Lisa Whelchel was on a few weeks ago. It's like that's all they're remembered for now. Can you imagine being asked to discuss weight issues you had 20 years ago? I mean, I was 1 then and I'm pretty sure I had no issues, but I'd probably be annoyed.

I didnt like Geri Jewel but I liked Geri Tyler on the show... but they did focus too much on her im just like Get back to the others damnit!! hehe... but they didnt do much on charlotte rae i though... it was mainly on lisa and geri which was kinda annoying after a while and there were TOOO many commercials!! that's for sure!! I didnt see the ep tonight... i saw it the first time it came on... but i LOVED seeing all of the pictures and clips and stuff!!! It was a great learning experience... the whole script wasnt new to me cuz i got the script of the whole episode on the internet at some site... but it was cool seeing the people and I loved seeing the clip from when Nat lost her virginity... but i thought that was rather odd that they didnt ask Jo to lose her virginity since she was the same age as blair... I mean nat was only 20... well not ONLY cuz thats kinda old to loose their virginity now adays but still I woudl expect Jo to have sex before Nat... totally!! hehe... but I LOVED seeing the pictures of the cast and stuff like that!! I didnt liek how it was all on Lisa and Geri... needed a more variety but I'm sure it was hard to do since Kim and Nancy dont want much to do with the facts of life anymore... but I'm surprised that they had an old interview of Mindy Cohn... oh well... they filmed it like 2 years ago so people have changed... i want to see the tv guide interview of lost stars or seomthign i think it was called... it had a HILARIOUS script!! It aired on some channel in May of 2000 i think they should air it again but i dont even know what channel it was... oh well!! hehe

I remember seeing some episodes on USA a while back, the ones N@N skips. I watched it at 8am in the morning. It was on for an hour for a time as well.
They were badly edited on USA. But i enjoyed watching ALL the episodes. Wish Diffrent Strokes would return too.
