My parents have been retired for several years now as they are in their 70's but my dad retired from GM and my mom is retired from J L Hudson's (which is now Marshall Field's)

My husband is a retired diemaker (skilled trades) from G M.

All of them worked in Flint Michigan.

My mom was a Kindergarten teacher before she got married and a couple years after but quit to raise the family. My dad used to work for the Water Department before he retired in the mid 80's. He works full time now driving a truck for some company. he doesn't really need to work anymore but he does it to give himself something to do.

My Father is a retired Police Detective, and my Mother is a Homemaker.
I guess since all thier children are out of the house, does that mean my Mother is retired too?

My dad does parts inspection at a local company, and my mom stays at home. I wish she'd get a job.

My late father was a stage actor for awhile, and then became the guy who arranges recreational activities for patients in hospitals. My mother was briefly a reporter, and then became a book editor.
