How many versions are there of Archie and Edith playing, Those Were The Days?
In other words, how many differents openings? Thanks.

I know there was more than one but you would have to really listen. In later episodes, when it gets to the part where they sing, "Gee our old Laselle ran great.", Edith enunciates that line more clearly than Archie.

I think that there were three.
There was one that began with the series, which changed a few years later (with a laugh track in the song) and again after Mike and Gloria left the show. I could be wrong. |

There were four different versions...
--Spring 1971 --1971-75 --1975-78 (they also changed the way the presented the cast as well in this version--now they introduced the cast followed by "in All in the Family" after that) --1978-79 |

And there was actually one more -- Carroll and Edith did a special version for the "Best of All in the Family" hour-long episode, hosted by Henry Fonda. But this was a one-time-only opening.
