Jack, although Bandit was a neat dog.

Why did Jack leave the show anyways? Does anyone know? Did he die in real life so they wrote it into the script that he died, or did they just want another little plot to add.

Iam not sure. Probably b/c they needed a good plot and that would be an emotional one, or maybe the dog was getting older and couldn't work anymore.

I like the episode where Ma tells Carrie to get way from her and go pick berries(who would tell a kid to go off by themselves at such a young age?) Carrie, goes to a creek and has weird dreams and one dream she dreams she is in heaven and she says what about Jack and the guy says Jack who and she says Jack Ingalls, and then the Jack the dog comes running.

Jack, like Suzanne Somers, wanted too much money, so he was replaced.

I liked Jack, but in real life he was a bulldog. I wonder why they didn't use one for the show?
