Money Orders? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Urgent. Ok, I'm from the UK right- currency £, and on ebay I'm buying from someone currency $- with me so far? Anyway- since I don't wanna use credit card, it's urgent and I'm confused by every other payment method I'm sending a money order. So- when you go to send a money order to a person with different currency- do I have to get that currency in the bank, or just give over the £ equal to the ammount of dollars I'm sending?

Well, I'm in the U.S., but I remember once buying something online from a seller in the U.K., and the post office sold me an "international money order" for a slightly higher cost than a normal domestic one. I no longer remember what the advantage was. Maybe they have something like that in the U.K.

Thanx, I'll ask about that. Also- does anyone think that you're less likely to get a good outcome if the person you're buying from lives in a different country?

I like these clearinghouses like eBay, and organizations like Amazon (which has used sellers too), because they typically guarantee in some way, that the seller will uphold the bargain. Buying directly from a seller might be a little more risky.

Do any of you know any good auctions or collectable website apart from ebay? I'm looking to buy this Little Shop of Horrors thing- but my ebay account is messed up cos email addresses, registrations etc.
