The Redd Foxx Comedy Hour
For those interested in what the series that Redd left Sanford and Son for, "Redd Foxx Comedy Hour," was like, go over to tvparty.com. Currently they have an article on the short-lived variety show, featuring some promos and two sound bytes, one of which is a funny skit involving Redd and Lawanda Page standing in line in 1978 for the 1984 Olympics. The other is a sample of one of Redd's monologues from the series.
On a sidenote, Jo Marie Payton aka the original Harriet Winslow on "Family Matters" made her tv debut on Redd's show. |
