Default Does anyone think this is weird?

Will and Lisa almost get married. The wedding is off because Lisa says 'I Don't" and Will and she agree that they don't want to get married right now. Then Will's mother and Lisa's father decide to get married during Lisa and Will's botched wedding performance. So now Will and Lisa who were almost husband and wife are now stepsister and stepbrother! I think that will put a strain on their hopes of getting married in the near future. Who wants to marry their stepbrother or stepsister? I think that would be weird.

I posted about this about 5 months ago and did not get any responses. Guess it's not a lot of Fresh Prince Fans on this board. Did you also noticed that Will's mother and Lisa's father were no longr seen after that episode? Including Lisa.

I didn't know this was talked about before. I guess its because I wasn't posting at the boards that long ago.

When I first read your post, Janice, I thought it was going to be about how weird it was that we never see Lisa or her father again. What was up with that?

And yes, I thought it was weird how Will and Lisa became step-siblings. The whole situation was whack. That's about the time I stopped liking the show very much.

Okay. But that doesn't really tell us about the topic. Don't you think the Lisa/Will situation was a little goofy? I know you think it's the best show but don't you have anything about it that bothered you at least slightly? Maybe you didn't like the new Vivian, or you didn't like the continual short jokes Carlton put up with, or you didn't like Will's closes in season one...? Come on now! There must have been a critique you have somewhere. Nothing is perfect.

Question What

Which episodes are they? If you can't name the episodes tell me what season they happened in. I've never seen this.

What do you mean what episodes? It's just one episode that Will's mom and Lisa's dad get married in. The episode is 124. For Whom the Wedding Bells Toll . It's the season 5 finale. After that Lisa and her father magically disappear. They are never seen or talked about again.

Yep. Will and Lisa are even at the alter in that episode and when it's time to do the vow shpeel, Lisa says suddenly that she's not ready. Earlier in the episode Will was telling her how he was nervous, and she convinced him not to be. But then at the alter she wants to back out. Will agrees with her. So they turn around to the audience and tell them that no one will be getting married today.

Right after that Lisa's dad proposes to Will's mom who were messing around earlier in the episode. Then they get married at the end.

I think that was a season ending episode. I remember being cofused when it ended. Either 95 or 96. I have to check.

I called it the season finale in a post up above. It was in 95.

Yeah I found it was 95 because I remember recording the episode off NBC. I still have it somewhere in my video library

Talking Yes

Yes it is very weird for this to happen. It is so weird. I hope it doesn't happen to me or any of my friends in real life. Did anyone else in real life know of someone that did this?

I had to look it up because I wouldn't have remembered otherwise. Thank goodness tvtome.com is working again. Except the episode guide was a little funny. For that wedding episode, it didn't even say Will's mom and Lisa's dad got married. I wasn't exactly sure if I had the right episode because of that.

Never--I don't associate with those kinds of people.
