Note: Hi, I'm only posting this again, as I wasn't as specific as I should have been regarding this request. I'm a huge fan of Bud Cort, (best known for the classic black comedy film "Harold and Maude"), and I'm mainly looking for rare and "hard-to-find" TV appearances he's made. I don't know of all the episode's names of the ones I am looking for, so...
Does anyone have (or know where I could find) the following TV episodes and shows in their collections: **The 1960's series "The Governor and J.J." and "Mr. Deeds Goes to Town" **The 1980's UK series (shown in the US), "Tales of the Unexpected," (the episode called "Nothin' Short of Highway Robbery," which Warren Oates co-starred in) **The pilot of the late 1980's Showtime series, "Poison," (which Andrea Martin and he co-guest starred in) **An early 1990's series, "Jack's Place," (which Robin Strasser co-guest starred in) **Comedienne Carol Leifer's 1990's Showtime special, "Carol Leifer: Gawdy, Bawdy and Blue" **AFI's: "100 Years, 100 Laughs" TV special from a few years ago **"Batman, the Animated Series," (the episode called "The Cape and Cowl Conspiracy") **"Superman, the Animated Series," (the episodes called "Fun and Games" and "Obsession") **"Static Shock" animated series, (the May 3, 2003 episode called "Toys in the Hood") **Roseanne's short-lived talk show, "The Roseanne Show," (from June 1, 2000, with Bud Cort and D.J. Qualls) **A mid-1990's made-for-UK TV movie (for BBC2) called, "Crazy for a Kiss" **The Cinemax documentary special (from November 15, 2002), about the 25th anniversary of "Pumping Iron" which contained deleted footage of Bud Cort not shown in the original theatrical release of the film My VHS and DVD collection is very small, and is comprised of store-bought and broadcast and cable TV-recorded titles, but here is a general list of some of what I have collected: Other than my Bud Cort collection, I have a few VHS volumes of "Tales From the Darkside," a few odd TV movies, some odd standup comedy performances, some films from the 1930's through 2000's, some documentaries of pop, film and rock personalities, some Betty Boop cartoons, some blaxploitation titles; and there's more, but I cannot think of them off-hand. Plus, because of a move I made a few months ago, I haven't had a chance to re-review my collection, nor to start labeling my most recent tapes. Of my much smaller DVD collection, I have 1 Def Comedy Jam episode, a few Bud Cort titles, a Little Rascals compilation film, "The Jungle Book" (Sabu version) and 2 Allen Payne titles: "Committments" and "Jason's Lyric". I have been trying to find the titles in my inquiry for a long time and I am sure that there are people out there who can help me find and get copies of them to enhance my collection. I hope that we'll be able to do business with each other. --Wecfan PS: Please, reply to me anytime, either here in this board, or via email. If you aren't able to help me, but you know of someone who can, please have them contact me personally. This is an open request, with no deadline for reply attached to it, so feel free to respond as long as this message is available for viewing. (Also, as I don't know where to turn to for this one: Does anyone know of whom or where I could write to, via post or email, to go about tracking down 2 radio performances of Bud's? He did a well-received reading of J.D. Salinger's "Catcher in the Rye," which I think was broadcast in the late '70's, but I read that it is still aired today, and one of a play about Truman Capote, which was done, I think, in the early 1990's. I think that they were both for an L.A. area public radio station. If you also happen to know of any other such radio performances, let me know. Many thanks! -- W. ) Bless you, and I eagerly await your replies! |
