All of The Monkees are my favorites, especially Mike. He was born and raised in San Antonio, TX and he also has a street named after him as well. Not only that, his mother is also the inventor of Liquid Paper Wipe-Out that you correct typewriter errors with. I have always enjoyed his songs especially "Listen To The Band" which was released in 1969. I wish that I could get the first season DVD of the Monkees but at nearly $100 hopefully someday they will bring the price down some so I can get it.

Yes, Papa Nez is a favorite of mine. I attended a Monkees convention back in when they received there star on the walk of fame. It was great seeing all four of them together in concert, at the walk of fame ceremony and the press conference afterwards. I was lucky enough to win Mike's motorcycle helmet at the auction!!!!

I too am I fan of Nez. I had the pleasure of racing with his off road racing team at the 1984 Barstow Fireworks 250, we got third place in class.
If you haven't read his book, "The Long Sandy Hair of Neftoon Zamora" then you're missing out on some truly inspired story telling. Plus his website, videoranch.com, is quite ingenious. And rumor is, he is writing another book (about time!) for us to read. He's more than a Monkee, more than a musician (but a damn fine one) and more than a movie producer, he's Nez. |

I LOVE MIKE! Actually, I can't decide which one I love the best...I love them all! They're SO Great! (Just call me April Conquest...if ya know what I mean...) For Christmas I got his novel, personally autographed by him!!!! Yes, and he wrote another novel scheduled to come out soon. It's called "The American Gene." I actually heard he might go on another tour! He's one wonderful guy, and the Monkees shall always live on forever!

Nez has always been my favorite Monkee. I think the best things he's done are his albums The Prison and The Hits Just Keep On Comin'. The book that comes with The Prison is a wonderful philosophical trip and the music is great. The Garden, the sequel, isn't as good.
