Okay. How did you get into HOTC?
RealChic1999 Age:22. First viewing of HOTC-September, 1986, when it first aired. I was only 5 at the time, and vaguely remember a thing. The people that stood out to me from then were Eric, Dennis, Arvid, Darlene (because Robin Givens was everywhere), and Simone. Of course, Mr. Moore and the other faculty as well. The only time I remember Maria was from the "Little Shop" episode. Throughout time, TJ stood out to me, and only what the new kids looked like...not their personalities. As for beginning credits - I used to think Leslie's last name was "Vega," because around 1989 we had a field trip to the planetarium. (And Suzanne Vega had her "doot-doot-doot" song then.) I remember seeing the name "Jawaharlal" in the credits, but not remembering who played him or ever seeing this person. In various years, HOTC aired on TBS, and I'd kinda glance at it, but not really be into it. It was during my time on campus this passing semester that late night assignments (and insomnia from said assignments) got me into the show. I loved it! Obviously, it makes sense to me, now that I'm older. And it also makes sense to me why my younger self never remembered Jawaharlal. What about the rest of you? |

I kind of watched it when it was first on, but I wasn't a rabid fan. I do remember having pictures of Brian Robbins and Tony O'Dell up in my room (I was between 9 and 13 when it was on). I really started to watch the reruns when I was in high school because I was into WKRP in Cincinnati at the time and wanted to see what Dr. Johnny Fever was up to. I then got really attached to the character of Dennis and I still am today!
