What's up with the Yankees? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

The Yankees have lost 11 out of their last 12 home games. They've won six out of their last 19 games.
After a Season start of 20-4, now they're at 29-21.
Being a Red Sox fan and with comparisons of the two teams commonplace, I'm wondering if the Red Sox can hold off the Yankees this season and win the Eastern Division.
That hope aside, does anyone think the Yankees will pull out of this slump? My husband says the reasons for the slump are injuries and new players that haven't worked out, such as Godzilla.

I think they could come back. Remember the 1978 Yankees? I heard that they were 14 games back and managed to beat Boston in a playoff game to win the AL East. But that was a different team, though.

I definitely think the Yankees have the talent to pull back into first place. I also don't think the Red Sox have enough talent right now to stay in first for too long. That's just my opinion.

the soxs only lack talent with their pitching, so they have enough talent with the bats but thats my opinion

hes not really on the DL, well he is, but its not anything serious, he went on it to clear a spot for Matt White who will be activiated for them off the DL, and Pedro is coming along better then expected and expected to pitch Monday vs the Blue Jays, so hopefully Pedro will be okay! hehe

I'm pulling for the Bo-Sox all the way in the AL East. Anyone but the Yankees. However, I'm afraid the Yankees will be back to themselves in a matter of weeks-winning until it's nauseas. Boston doesn't have that great a lead, the Yankees can esily overcome that deficit. It's up to Boston to continue playing as they have been. They have a tough schedule ahead and I certainly hope they can maintain the lead in the AL East, because NY will be up and goin' again soon.
Of course I hope it isn't to soon for I love seeing George squirm and the Rocket have to continue to go for 300. I hope the Tigers pound the guy! hahaha

I don't really follow baseball but all I know is that the Yankees are playing the Tigers soon, so they should get some wins there.
