This is the episode when James was told that he was too old for the Job. But if you paid attention, James played a part in kiliing his chances to get that job. First of all, James constantly would overtalk the guy he was being interviewed by. Secondly, James did not let the interviewer finish a sentence. Everytime the interviewer asked James a question, James never let him finish asking the question. And Most Importantly, James said something to the interviewer you are never supposed to say, He said -"So what day do i report?-LOL I personally think it was more than James age that didn't qualify him for that job.

You know, every time I watch that episode, I feel the same way. I feel like telling him to shut up and let the man talk. James was too, too eager and that always ends up sour on interviews.

If he just relaxed and allowed the interviewer to ask the questions without interruption and tell him he had the job or we'll call you, whatever, he would have been better off. He probably would have gotten the job I believe.

Interviewing skills among the poor especially is still a problem to this day. I think that's what that episode was trying to convey or am I reading too much into it?

The man said the government program had an age restriction that James didn't meet. That is the reason he didn't get it. His actions in the interview had nothing to do with it.

If you pay close attention, the interviewer made up that reason because of James interviewing skills. James was Overtalking him and asked when he starts the Job when the job wasn't offered to him yet. So the interviewer had to come up with a reason not to hire James and the Age thing was the reason. |
