Default Which Sitcom was More CONTROVERSIAL, Good Times, Maude, or All in the Family?

I think All in the Family was more controversial. Good Times dealt with a lot of controversial topics like the show Maude but after hearing all the things that came out of Archie Bunker's Mouth, That show to me was the most Controversial.

Out of those three, I think All in the Family was the most controversial because of the situations on the show. After that I'd say Maude, since that show dealt with a lot of controversial topics too, such as abortion.

I would say Good Times and Maude was pretty much the same far as topics they dealt with. So i have them as

All In the Family
Maude/Good Times

Definitely All In The Family. That show basically invented TV Contraversy. Basically all of Norman Lears shows did except The Jeffersons and Sanford and Son. And even those 2 had their share of Racial Comments and stuff.

Ditto, both of those tackled tough issues and I agree, I also think All in the Family was one of the first and the best example of a controversial sitcom.

Wow, how ironic that is! The only two Norman Lears that I like and watch are The Jeffersons and Sanford and Son. The other three (or rest) I don't particularly care for.

All In The Family, hands down. I always thought Good Times and even Sanford and Son were just too stereotypical, but then again I guess even the character of Archie Bunker can be seen as stereotypical.

I think Good Times is just depressing really.
