Smile The Little Chill

i just figured this out! i was reading the list of guest starts in certain episodes and i came upon The Little Chill. the only girl from the fist season that did NOT return was Molly, am i right? well, i was looking at the cover of the Pretty In Pink soundtrack (my FAVE!) and it said the movie came out in 1986 which is the same year The Little Chill was filmed and taped! so the reason MOLLY RINGWALD wasnt in that episode as Molly was because she was in the middle of filming Pretty In Pink! but all the other girls (Nancy,Sue Ann, and Cindy) are all in the episode! stay tuned for it, it will be airing soon!

Jo: will you read my editorial?

JO: You PROMISE?
Blair: YES!!
JO: You SWEAR??
Blair: YESS!!!
Jo: i dont believe you (self satisfied smirk on her face!)

Even if Molly wasn't filming pretty in pink at the time, she was too big a star to go back to a show where she and the other 3 were treated like dirt by the producers. She even joked about it once in an interview saying that the producers asked her to comeback after she did a movie, this was the same producer who told her she would never make in in this business, i guess she showed him!

wow~! i nevr thought of it that way, i guess youre right!
but, one thing i noticed....toward the i think 7th season, Nancy McKeon's name was always last, and for all the other girls, it just said their names, but then, it says, "and starring NANCY McKEON as JO" why is this??? did she do another movie which would have made her more famous???

This may be completely wrong so don't get upset if it is. However my mom always used to tell me if you can't be first then the best place to be in credits is last- it is what sticks in peoples minds. Therefore after the credits are shown they are thinking Nancy Mckeon and already know her character's name is Jo. I agree with my mom on the fact that the last name to be shown is the best cause it does stick in ones mind and also if you think about a play the main characters always take their bow last. So that's what I think!

The reason Nancy was always given the "and Nancy McKeon" deal was because she was added to the show in the second season, and they very rarely will bump a "newer cast member" to higher than the regular lead characters. When it was just the 4 girls and Mrs. Garrett, they all had equal clout, but when Andy, George, Beverly Ann, Pippa, etc... came to the show, they ended with "and Starring Nancy McKeon as Jo" because she was a more vital part of the series than the newer characters.

I wonder if this is true that the same producer who told Molly she would never make it show business asked her or her agent to come back for the Little Chill?
