Default look at this

The Golden Girls

Name More Date of Birth Status Date of Death Age
Bea Arthur 05/13/1923 alive
80
Estelle Getty 07/22/1924 alive
78
Rue McClanahan 02/21/1935 alive
68
Betty White 01/17/1922 alive
81

i have look these up because i was wondering if estelle getty was alive or not. bea arthur was actually older then her. i think i know why she was played the mother instead of bea, it is because she was shortter then her. can someone tell me different. thanks

Even though Betty White is the oldest, I have this eerie feeling she'll out live all of them

I had already mentioned this on another thread, but some places have Bea Arthur born in 1926. On CNN Headline News, on the bottom ticker, they had her birthday as 77.

Rue is now the age that, Blanche was once horrified to think people would think she was, 68.

Betty White outliving them all, I also think could be possible.

Wink i just found it.

i just found it on a web sight. i think it is cool because it is very cool but i think they look good at there age. i grew up laughing with them and crying with them and the way the look and how they let people into there live and i love when rose tell her story and how blance is the slut of them all and how they deal with men in there lifes, how they deal with a close death or a death how they are still best friends.

Even though this is somewhat of a morbid topic, I think Rue will outlive them all. Even though I do see Betty living longer than Estelle and Bea.

Smile i agree

i agree because i want all of them to live very long. i think death stinks because every acter and actresses i loved will be dead. i just wanted everyone to know (which by the way is not morbid) that estelle getty was young like them. nothing was not bad. i just want them to be alive when i get to 30. but i wish i wish.

Ya I knew that Estelle was younger than Bea. I heard that it took her an hour of make up each episode to turn herself into Sophia.

Talking Me too...........

I knew about that too. LOL. But to be honest, until I read information about Estelle I was shocked that she was in makeup. I never knew Estelle before she appeared on TGG. It's when I first saw her on Rue McClanahan's Intimate Portrait in 2002 that I noticed she was in disguise. LOL. She really had me fooled. I know now that she sat for about an hour getting her makeup on too. My aunt also told me about her wig and such. Actually, I never watched TGG until I got older like maybe last year or 2001 I started watching the show. LOL.
