Hi ~ in my opinion, the first house - it was more charming. Also, the boys were younger and funnier, and Ward and June were far more easy-going, had a better sense of humor - overall, I think the first two seasons were the most pleasant and easy to watch.

Peace ~

I liked both houses but I would go with the first house.

I liked the second house the best, the inside as well as the outside. It was bigger and I really liked Wards Den.

I voted for the second house, mainly because I like the later eps more than the earlier eps. Also, the garage is on the wrong side of the house on the exterior shot of the first house from where it actually is. The exterior shot shows the garage to the left of the house, but the garage from the interior is to the right of the house, just off the kitchen, which is to the right of the front door when you walk in from the front. Of course, that's a rarity in houses for the kitchen to be on the front side of the house, and the second house put the kitchen in back, where, IMO, it belongs.

I don't think so. In episodes where the garage is the focus of key scenes-- like "The Perfect Father" and "Broken Window"-- you can see it is on the right as you face the front of the house. What may lead to confusion about this is the unusual layout of the front exterior. The 'left' side of the front exterior juts out in relation to the right side; and by casual observation the viewer may assume this left side is the garage. But the garage is separate from the house and on the right side.

For another view of this house, about 12 years later, it was also used in My Three Sons in 1970 as the home of Polly, Chip's girlfriend with whom he elopes. In that short chain of episodes (about 6), it is at that time light blue in color and the picket fence is no longer there, and it clearly has a 'neater', or 'sharper' look than it appears in the B&W LITB eps.

I liked the second house better. I loved Ward's den with the nice pine walls. I feel cozier in the second house.

I like the first house overall, but I do love Ward's den in the second house. In the first house, he just had a desk in the living room.

Whoops. This poll has been resurrected and I see I never voted. I vote for the second house. I agree that the first house was ugly.
