Default Woody line

Nothing in particular, this one just got me rolling on the floor laughing. Of course, most of Woody's lines crack me up, this is just one I saw recently.

Woody: (Concerned) "Diane, you're not going to tell my mother about this are you?"

Diane: (Assuredly) "Mum's the word, Woody."

Woody: (Concerned) "Diane, you're not going to tell my mum about this are you?"

lol i get it. In nature "Symbioses" is when two species work together and benefit each other perfectly within an ecosystem. Like the clown fish is protected by the sea anemone's poisenous tentacles (because there Immune to the poison) so they hang around sea anemones thus benefitting themselves. In turn the Clown fish hunts fish that eat the sea anemone therefore they both benefit each other.

That's also called mutualism.

well mutualism, commensalism, parasitism are all part of symbioses. the only difference between them is that in commensalism is when one species benefits from another species but the species it's benefitting from doesn't get anything in return. like instead of a clown fish and anemone its a shrimp and an anemone, where the shrimp finds refuge in the tentacles but can't eat the anemone eating fish so it isn't "useful" to the anemone. Then ofcourse there's parasitism where a parasite benefits from its host but the host is harmed by it. But in Diane's case she was refering to mutualism.

That's what I was saying. I LOVE Biology. My favorite thing in Biology was genetics.

OMG OMG I thought that evolutionism was SOOOOO interesting too. I sort of believe in evolution and creationism. What was natural selection again? I forgot.

Natural selection backs up the theory of Evolution. In other words if a genetic trait proves to be "beneficial" to the animal or species then they survive, and reproduce. And if your trait proves to be harmful or just not as good as the others traits then you die, thus natural selection occurs. An example is if a gazelle develops a trait to help it run faster, it helps it escape predators that might kill it. take the same gazelle without the gene and it can out run its predators as easily. So simply put, who will have a higher probability of surviving? the gazelle with the faster gene, which means if it survives that it will reproduce and have more gazelles with the gene. That also means that more and more of the weaker gazelles are being eaten, therefore they can't reproduce.
