Umm... interesting...

...And the Sliders episode 'The Chasm' is the Sci-Fi equivalent of the 'Loganberry's Run' episode of Ned and Stacey.

I dont think so, they probably have it stated backwards, and that the 1986 World Series premeted the show. With the $$$ that the networks pay Major League Baseball, there is no way in he** that this or any other show would prempt a baseball game. Not even the final episode of Seinfeld or Friends

some quick research shows that the 1986 World Series was played On October 18, 19, 21, 22, 23, 25, and 27

Cosby Show episode #54 also originally aired October 23, 1986.

being that it was only in it's 3rd season at the time, there is no way it would have pre-empted Game 5 of World Series

Why did you bother looking up "The Cosby Show" on the "Jump The Shark" site? Everyone knows that Cosby never had to jump sharks.....The sharks got out of the way and made a clear path for him, all the while saying, "YES, Mr. Cosby....Anything you SAY, Mr. Cosby....We LOVE you, Mr. Cosby!". (I think that those sharks later ended up working at NICK!).

I think The Cosby Show jumped the shark when the origional kids started to grow up and they had to bring on Olivia (the African-American Michelle Tanner, although at least Olivia could be funny at times) and all those other useless people.

I was never a fan of the 1980s Cosby Show. I preferred his earlier offerings.

I like The Cosby Show but the later seasons get on my nerves.

OOoook, I don't get this.

"This show pre-empted"...you mean Cosby or Wings??

If you mean Cosby...I still don't get it. What does that have to do with the Wings message board? And don't put too much validity into what you read at Jump The Shark, a lot of the posts are incorrect/racist/obscenity-laden.

The 1986 World Series went off fine on all the night it should have except the Sunday game was rained out and played the next night.
