Did anyone watch the ABC 50 year speacial. I did hoping that they would show some great clips of Barney Miller. Maybe even have a cast reunion. Well what did we get? Just two lousy, don't blink or you'll miss them clips
. Oh and one shot each of Ron Glass and Hal Linden in the audience. What the hell! You would think that ABC would have done a little more. I mean with James Gregory recent passing you would think that it would be a good time for a reunion. I am almost considering writing to ABC and complaining.

I know, but doesn't Ron Glass still look great? To be honest, I was surprised they showed as much as they did. But it's still upsetting. They went on and on about Family Matters and Perfect Strangers, but no Barney? Please

somehow I'm mildly surprised that they didn't make more publicity out of a show that got to be in the smithsonian...oh well, guess that's life

Didn't know Barney Miller made the Smithsonian. What do they have there? I remember seeing the MASH sets there. There was a line to kingdom come. Good thing we got there before they openned.

Unless I'm mistaken, they've got "the cage", the duty board, and a few badges on display.
And you're all right -- ABC did a pretty bad job of ball-droppage. Just two actors out of how many? Where was Steve Landesberg? Where was Max Gail? Pitiful. |

ABC was in it's heyday during the mid-to-late 70's, so I am sure the special focus on such shows as Happy Days and Three's Company
Three's Company was a great show, but I am sorry Happy Days SUCKED, it was lame then and it is LAME now. I did not have the stomach to watch ABC's 50th special There should been more attention to Barney Miller,. the Show ran for 8 seasons!!!!! Instead fans of the show saw a spilt sesond of Hal Linden and Ron Glass, how insulting

I wanted to see the welcome back kotter part as that's the only part of the 3 hrs I missed, and the ONLY part I wanted to see. They should of gave props to Barney, too. Watched the whole 1st season in a week, and am wanting season 2. Probably not coming out soon of course.

I have the ABC 50th on tape. You're right - ABC dropped the ball, BIG TIME. They didn't even give much time to Bewitched, another long-running ABC show. BOOO!!!
