Default The Key to Alex

Hey guys,

I didn't see anyone comment on "The Key to Alex" ... I just watched it last night for the first time (I think.)

I enjoyed it... except for I missed the first half of it because the stupid cable box was on the wrong channel. Can you believe I woke up with a start at 1:15am and thought, "Wings!" Funny how my brain woke me up like that.

I loved the whole thing with Alex in the restaurant and later when the guy punched Brian for kissing his wife. Also, later when Joe wanted to do tequila shooters and Brian was saying, "We've got to get some sleep, we've got an airline to run!" And Joe was saying, "Boorrrring." Hee hee.

If someone can please answer though - since I missed the beginning... what was the joke about the dog? Brian was whistling and saying "here boy" and Joe jumped up out of his chair... but I didn't get it.

Thanks

I didn't really like this episode. Joe and Brian were acting lke jackasses (even more than they usually do around Alex. lol). I'm glad Alex got back to them on everything they did. hahaha.

wingshock- the joke about the dog was that Joe was trying to bring out his "sensitive side" to Alex because Helen said that women like that in men, so He thought he'd try that on Alex by saying he loved cats, but when she said she was a dog person, he was all like, "oh yeah me too! me too!" and told her this bogus story that his first dog ran away when he was little, etc etc... and then Alex was all like, "do you have any plans for the weekend?" and he was like, "nothing I cant cancel." so she goes away, and thn she comes back with her dog- this HUGE GIANT scary dog, and says, "i have to go to Boston for the weekend, and since you love dogs so much, can you take care of him for the weekend instead of me bringing him to the kennel?" and the dog seriously looked like it was gonna eat joe for breakfast. lol. so yeah, that's what hat was all about.

Thanks. What you were saying reminded me ...

I think the whole reason for introducing Alex's character was so that Brian and Joe could have a woman to fight over again. They were so funny when they used to fight over Helen... like in "All for One & 2 for Helen" and also "It's Not the Thought It's the Gift."

I think the writers wanted to get back to that but couldn't use Helen anymore so ... here comes Alex.

Love,

I know this was pretty much explained in another post but to add to it ... Alex left her dog " Chopper " with Joe for the weekend after Joe said he loved dogs, well after the weekend Joe came into the airport with his hand wrapped up saying something like " who knew here boy was an attack call " and teasing Brian after his misfortune during his dinner date with Alex, Brian turned around, whistled, and called out " here boy " ... Joe jumped off his stool thinking that the dog was gonna attack him again ...
