Default Guest star on LITB

I've been ask to throw a couple more trivia questions out there, so here is one that maybe will give a "few" of you a little trouble. For some, it might be just "tooooo" easy.

"What former television supporting actor, with years of television acting before guest starring on LITB, went on to do some supporting, or bit roles in a few major movies of the 60's?"

Hint: It's not Barbara Parkins, nor Ryan O'Neil.

Edgar Buchanan - their uncle Billy - had been a major film charactor actor. He was on "Pettycoat Junction," but that was later in his career.

Good try, but not it!...... I'll have to give you some credit BrandosS, Edgar was the star of his own series. He was a Judge in the Old West. Years later he was a supporting actor in Pettycoat Junction.

Jimmy Hawkins ['Dudley McMillan'] ?... although he wasn't in very many movies in the 60's.

Thumbs up

TDR is the winner! ! !

It is Jimmy Hawkins, who played a supporting role in the "Annie Oakley" series, before making a guest appearance on LITB as Dudley McMillan.

Jimmy played in two Elvis Presley movies, "Girl Happy" and "Clambake" as one of Elvis' band members (instrument and background vocalist).

I loved it when Eddie Haskell introduced Dudley to his (Eddie's) girlfriend, Christine, at her party.

"Christine, I'd like to introduce you to Mr. Dumbley McMillan."

"It's Dudley,.... you called me Dumbley."

TDR is the winner! ! !

Does that mean I get to ask the next trivia Q?

OK, there were 3 actors who had small recurring roles-- each appeared in at least 3, but no more than 7 episodes-- who had last names of a U.S. president. Who were they? [ed. It's the actors' last names the question looks for, just to be clear]

I could only think of Madge Kennedy and Edgar Buchanan! So that's the third one! Good job.

Dustin1175,

I'm totally impressed, because I could only think of Edgar Buchanan (Captain Jack, Uncle Billy). I guess I was a little thrown off, because I would of thought Mrs. Rayburn would of been in more than 7 episodes. I can remember her being the principal when Mrs. Canfield was Beaver teacher in the first year, and I can remember her being Beaver's (sit-in) teacher near the end of the show's run.

That was a good trivia question TDR.
