Talking Clerks the Animated Series!

I finally got to see the episode of Clerks entitled The Clip Show Wherein Dante and Randal are Locked in the Freezer and Remember Some of the Great Moments in Their Lives Together.

In it, there were a few HD references... Dante and Randal (the two main characters for anyone who hasn't seen the show or the movie it's based on) reminisce not only about their lives, but Happy Days episodes they liked.

They animated two HD parody scenes. The first, when Fonzie makes the record-breaking jump on his bike (complete with the crash scene into Arnold's tent). And the second when Fonzie jumps the shark. Pretty hilarious, especially that they paid such close attention to the episode detail... and at the end of each one, animated Fonzie goes, "Aaaaaayh"

Anyone else catch it? I've been trying to find screen grabs, but can't.

Someone else watches Clerks TAS!!!!!!! Woo!!!!!!!

I am a huge Kevin Smith fan, and have seen all his movies. I have the animated series set on video. And yes, I know exactly what you're talking about.

I love the part where they're doing their flashbacks when they're locked in the freezer, and Randall says "Remember that time I won the big dance contest with Joanie Cunningham?" And Dante goes "That wasn't you! That was Fonzie on an episode of Happy Days!"

And then at the end when they're "locked" in the hockey area (the one adjacent to the Other Burn Ward) Randal starts talking about the duderanch episode.

If you couldn't tell, I LOVE Clerks TAS.

Oh good! Now someone will at least be able to speak for my own sanity when I start flinging a cat around in the air and proclaim to be the stupidest idiot in the world!... in diapers. @.x

LOL, I reallllllly need to get my hands on the collected edition DVD after seeing that. I have Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Dogma and Chasing Amy (seen all the other ones too) -- It's expensive from what I've seen, but hey, you get all the eps, right? There's what? 6?

Yes I think there are 6 total. I have the tape though, not the DVD, and I think I only paid like 14.99 for it. I'm sure the DVD is higher.

I have all the movies except J & SB Strike Back, though I've seen it a thousand times. I watch the Animated Series wayy too much though. When there's nothing else on, I either pop in that or one of my Happy Days tapes. Every reference in the show makes me giggle. Have you only seen the clip show? Or the others too? I think Comedy Central shows them...like at 12:30 am on Sundays or something wierd like that.

Why are we walking like this? Tee Hee.

I didn't realize it until now, but I have seen at least one other episode of Clerks. The one with the Japanese anime reference: "Who's driving car? Oh no! Bear is driving car!!!" which a buddy of mine reminded me of. We went out to get the DVD just last night, but ugh, I don't have the $25 to spend that FYE was selling it for $.$

If I'm lucky, I'll find the VHS and save $10. I'm pretty frugal that way... oh heck, there's no getting around it, I'm a big cheapskate!
