Firstly, does anyone know if there are plans to release TCY episodes on DVD, once they have released all the episodes from the original series?
Secondly, how exactly did TCY get into syndication on TBS? I can't think of another instance where a series with less than 3 seasons of episodes has gone into syndication. Are the syndication rights to TCY sold as part of the original SBTB series? And if so, does TCY air on other local stations that still carry SBTB? |

i have no idea if they are releasing the college years on dvd. i hope so because i really love that show.
i think the syndication deal is GMMB, the original series, and TCY, which makes saved by the bell have five seasons. on the station that plays sbtb here, they show all of the GMMB episodes and the college years episodes. i hope that helped a bit... |

Thanks for the info. That makes sense that GMMB and TCY would be all part of one syndication package with SBTB.

I'm sort-of positive that they will release the college years into DVD, if they release the rest of the original series. I think the distribution company is looking at "Saved By The Bell" as a 6-season show.
On the DVD coming this September-- the "Good Morning Miss Bliss" are counted as season one. On syndication, "SBTB" is also sold as a 6-season show. When a station buys the original series, they automactically get "GMMB," and "SBTB: CY" as well. |
